class' Replay Value

I played an Infiltrator twice, both on Normal and Veteran difficulty. I've always been interested in sniping characters, which was what had motivated me the first time. I would have to admit that one of the big reasons why I replayed the character was due to pursuing a love interest that just didn't interest me.
I also played an Engineer twice, on Hardcore and Insanity. Unlike Infiltrator, the reason why I replayed the Engineer was solely related to the fun and enjoyment from the class. I enjoyed everything it brought to the game and honestly felt somewhat powerful by playing it.
I am almost certain I will be playing these two classes one more time before I finally decide to stop. They are both t ruly enjoyable and I espacially favor tech over biotics this game.

So far I've played; Vanguard, Infiltrator, Soldier, and I'm just starting my Adept playthough. I enjoyed Infiltrator the most of the ones I've played so far, but we'll see if it stays that way. Adept has been great fun so far now that I'm getting a feel for it, I'm rapidly turning into an artist with pull, arcing it just right to pluck enemies from cover is great fun.
One thing I am liking though is the different ways to evolve powers and distribute points, you can make some very different strategies just by changing what powers you bring, that alone adds a ton of replay value to the game.

Next is Engineer, then maybe a real run with Adept (I did one on Veteran, but that doesn't count). Sentinel and Soldier will probably be last.
I think the classes with the most replay will be the ones with more versatile strategies or 'underused' abilities that we can learn to exploit (i.e. Singularity/Warp is a well known Adept strategy, but could you make a workable Adept that relies mostly on Pull and Throw?)
* Real = Insanity.

Every firefight ends up playing slightly differently, and the ability to just zoom across maps means that battles end up playing out completely differently to how any other class would handle it (I found dealing with the Collossus on Haestrom was child's play after I Charged straight into a few minor Geth halfway across the map, ended up right behind cover within easy striking distance).

leave vanguard for your last class/last playthrough. once you get the hang of it it is so much more fun than the other classes that going back to them feels like a chore. biggest regret playing this game is that vg was my 2nd class, playing other classes just feels so slow and boring.

That's how I feel about Engineer. The Engineer class for me was probably the most fun I've had on any RPG game. It's playstyle just worked for my benefit considering that is the style I prefer the most.

I have to agree with Alexandus' post, watching my Vanguard zoom across the battlefield and then greet her enemy with a nice load of red-hot buckshot is FUN!

I am thinking about playing a Vanguard some time later on though.

Vanguard for first try...dropped it due to lack of skills to kill enemy barriers. Then adept, sentinel. Much more effective (at barriers) but ultimately felt they were uncomfortably slow...and you dun see much action cos you have to hide behind cover and throw your powers.
After reading much tips on this forum...went back to try the vanguard on hardcore. WOW...refreshing experience, and how wrong I was in thinking vanguards are defenseless against barriers. They weren't given warp or overload cause they dun need it. They zoom in and blast those shells in enemies face.

Indeed. If anything, playing as a Vanguard is the closest I've seen a game come to playing like a Cleric from the that Christian Bale film, Equilibrium.

I played through as an Infiltrator on ME1 and ME2. I like the Incinerate and I was able to learn Slam from one of my loyalty missions. I have no interest in the Soldier class right now. I am not sure what I am going to try next.

Yeah, I have no interest in Soldiers either in ME2. Their playstyle just seems rather bland in comparison to ME1's version, mainly because you don't have special weapon powers such as Carnage and assassination. I've started an Adept, Vanguard and Infiltrator again but I'm still deciding what to play. I may even make a Sentinel and Engineer too and just play all of them equally until one becomes more fun. I just hate waiting 15 minutes with the intro, haha.

I've played through the game 6 times now and am on my 7th playthrough, my 1st three games I played as an infiltrator, my 4th was a vanguard and my last 2 and my current one I've been playing as a soldier.

If only it were possible to get another weapon or skill every time you go through the collector ship..........
If you're willing to mod the game files it's child's play adding assault rifles to any class, pre-Collector ship. My own Vanguard was running around with a Revenant.
That said, It didn't really fit my character concept for Shepard, and personally I prefer the Tempest to most other weapons, so I went back to playing by the rules. But it's no problem modding any character to carry what you want.
I'm playing with the idea in my next playthrough of modding the Vanguard to carry Sniper Rifles from the start... thus being able to get the Widow. But I *really* like my Viper

One of the flaws of this game is that there isn't much real variability in how different characters of the same class experience the game. Once a person get the hang of the abilities, the 'dump' skills in each class become pretty obvious. The bonus skill and bonus weapon choices make for a little differentiation (the choice at skill "evolving" makes almost no difference), but nothing that seriously changes what the character's approach to gameplay situations is going to be.
Have you seen the CQC Infiltrator?
