Who's your favorite/least favorite teammate?

Favortie:

Miranda - She's one of the most well rounded characters providing both biotic and tech powers as well a damage bonus.

Legion - He takes the best features of both Tali (tech powers) and Garis (weapon load out)... and Geth sheilding... sweet!

For me, both offer interesting storylines.

Least Favorite:

Jack - I just can't get past the **** attitude. I hate it! It's so cliche and over the top that I tend to ignor her entirely. First thing I did after her loyalty mission was put some clothes on her... uuugh... gross! Combat wise I was expecting awesome results... still waiting.

Samara - Nothing all that offensive about her... just not very interesting (to me). Again, where's the wow factor of a full biotic!?! When it comes to biotic charcters I find that well rounded ones Like Miranda, Jacob or Thane are more fun to play.

Favorites:



Garrus - He pwns. He's pretty much the turian James Bond.



Tali - More nostalgia/cute personality. Awesome loyalty mission.



Legion - Very fresh, original, interesting. Good in a fight with the Widow.



Mordin - Funny as hell, also interesting as a character.



Least:



Grunt - Okay, but compared to everybody else, underwhelming. His loyalty mission was kill a bunch of animals. His dialogue tree is about killing stuff. There really isn't anything more to him.



Jacob - I had to convince myself to sit through his boring lines...I cannot remember clearly anything Jacob has ever said. Good voice acting--gangstas in space--, but not very interesting IMHO.

BioWare did a really good job with the team this time around, I'm having trouble picking my favorites when there's so many good ones.

Favs:
Tali: It's amazing how she can be so confident and kickass yet still come across as so nerdy and shy. Great character and she's inherited the "Minsc & Boo" legacy with her combat quotes, "Go for the optics!" 

Legion: He feels more alien than any of the non-human crew members and adds a whole new perspective on the geth. Also his inability to explain his attachment to Shepard is interesting and a bit endearing. That and he's a robot that does the robot, what more could you ask for?

Least Favorite

Zaeed: He's the only teammate that ever got me legitimately pissed off, fortunately there were plenty of opportunities to knock some sense into him. If you can beat him into loyalty he's a solid guy with some very interesting quotes on missions, still I can't forgive him for almost screwing me over on his loyalty mission.

Combat Value:

No favorites or least favorites here. On Insanity, it's most effective to choose the right squad for the mission and everyone shines at different tasks.

-Miranda (Hot, Overload, Warp, Squad Dmg, Squad HP, Hot)

-Mordin (Cynical yet Compassionate, Incinerate,Cyro Blast, Funny as hell)

-Garrus (Hella Useful in combat, and Funny outside of combat "I had reach, but she had flexibility")



Shunned:

-Jack (Not-Hot, Butch, Bald, Crazy, El Pollo Loco, Insane, Micheal-Jackson-Lookalike, Useless)

-Jacob (Captain Bland, Useless in combat)

I like many characters, but I really have no love for Jack at all. I don't like Zaeed much neither, but he at least has a cool accent haha.

I feel the same way as Riot Inducer. Others I liked and disliked -
Favorite:
Mordin: Talking to him felt rewarding. At first it seemed like he was going to be some Salarian Josef Mengele, but slowly he makes a pretty compelling sympathetic character. Great voice acting as well. He may only speak in sentence fragments, but they're delivered with conviction.

Meh:
Thane: Yeah, I know. Honestly, he seemed cool at first, but the more I talked to him the more douchey and full of **** he seemed. I didn't really buy the whole "it's just my body that does the killing" thing. And I didn't really see how avenging his wife was an excuse for being a total absentee father for so many years.
He had a lot of really sappy lines as well. "I look forward to the memories" or "Someday I'll tell you what it means, Siha" - just felt like cheap romance novel material to me. Plus, the way his slips into memory were handled just rubbed me the wrong way. Drell supposedly have perfect recall, but the way those scenes were edited made his memory seem as fragmented as anybody's. And something about his description of the setting in those scenes just felt written rather than remembered. Like there was too much writerly flourish there.

Samara — Appearance is great, storyline is very good, voice acting is very good.
Tali’Zorah vas Neema — Nostalgic favorite, appearance is good, storyline is very good, voice acting is very good.
Miranda Lawson — Best human appearance in the game, good storyline, good voice acting.
Legion — Appearance is good, storyline is very good, voice acting is good.
Thane Krios — Apperance is very good, storyline is good, voice acting is very good.
Mordin Solus — Appearance is not that unique for a salarian, storyline is interesting, voice acting is very good.
Garrus Vakarian — Appearance is good, and he has nostalgia on his side. Storyline is somewhat weak, voice acting is good.
Grunt — Appearance is interesting for a krogan, storyline is decent, voice acting is pretty good.
Jack — Good appearance (though I’m not a fan of the aesthetic in general), mediocre storyline, voice acting is okay.
Zaeed Massani — Appearance is mediocre, storyline is very weak, voice acting is decent.
Jacob Taylor — Mediocre human appearance, storyline is very weak, decent voice acting (but not great).

Favorite:
Garrus - simply put he's a bad ass, funny as hell (playing as femshep especially), and very helpful in battle
Legion - great in battle! Cute expressions, made me laugh a lot.
Least Favorite:
that guy living in my armory.... wait, what's his name again ? oh yeah..... Jacob.  Lamest character ever....

I really dislike Jack. I hate the personality, and she is pretty useless as a teammate. Her ammo does nothing better mates can't do already, she has no access to help in warp detonations, and shock-wave is like the most useless skill in the game.

Miranda: Warp/Overload and passive squad bonuses



Grunt: He breaks big problems down into smaller ones



Storywise:



Miranda first then a tossup between Grunt and Garrus... descends from there

Favorites:

1) Miranda:
The most powerful squad mate, interesting background story, good character
growth, best love interest and “cool” outfits.
2) Legion:
Fascinating character, trust issues, lots of information about geth and nails robot
dancing.
3) Mordin:
Important part of the team, funniest character and salarians are one of my favorite
race. 

Least favorites:

1) Grunt:
Cheap replacement for Wrex and  Grunt has the weakest loyalty mission.
2) Jack:
Too self centered, horrible hair cut and all that hate towards Miranda.
3) Zaeed:
Pretty useless (IMO), too renegade for my taste and you can’t have conversations with
him.

Favorite: Mordin and Garrus. They are pretty close to alien versions of Shepard. Couple of smart alec alien commandos blowing things up works for me.

Least Favorite: Jack. I took her on the Collector ship mission on insanity, whoops. Couldn't even get to the table let alone bring anything to it. Also annoying dialog.

Jacob: No hate, just disinterest. I sent him through the vents because he really wanted go. So you might know how that turns out.

Garrus manages to be both useful in combat, has funny quotes ('That one hit!'. 'Scoped and dropped!' 'I love this rifle!' etc.), and around BMFL, same with Mordin (Firing flammable material. Or is it inflammable? Doesn't matter!). Jacks got some good crowd control moves, good against husks, but she's generally just annoying. I warmed up to thinking that Tali's 'okay' from outright hatred in ME1, mainly because of her loyalty mission though, the trial bit was brilliantly written. Still fairly useless in combat unless your against Geth or Mechs. Miranda is better than I give her credit for, as I don't use her that often.

Favorite:

Jack: Her tattoos are crazy amazing to look at. She give Miranda Hell, and I can't stand Miranda. At first glance Jack is a hard-nosed biotic who likes to keep everyone at arms distance, but if you romance her she is as soft and fluffy and a kitten.  Lots of sides to her, she's fun.

Thane: He's all sauve and mysterious. I like his spiritual side and his loyality. He somehow reminds me of Rorschach from the Watchmen, minus the crazy paraniod murdering part. .. If only more men were like Thane.


Least Favorite:

Jacob: He is just there, not much personality. Just like Kaiden was in ME1.

Miranda: She is fun to look at, but everyone word that comes out of her mouth that angers me to no end. But I can put up with her, atleast she has a personaltiy and envokes some sort of responce out of me, which is more than I say about Jacob.

Tali: Such a wonderful character, amazing personality, great to get to know more about the Quarians (Favorite race) and i actually had genuine feelings for her as a Love interest.
Garrus: There is just something about him, can't really tell
Legion: Great to get an insight to the Geth i always wanted to get a geth squad mate

Least Favorite:
Jack: Didn't like that tough girl style but i liked her side quest why she actually showed some personality.
Jacob: Just bland, he has no personality and i just never cared for him
Grunt: Meh he just doesn't feel like a real krogan, don't know why but never cared much for him.

Personality:
I like Tali, Garrus, and Moridin the best. Tali is sweet and her personality is very attractive to me, too bad she isn't hot. Garrus is a good best friend, and Moridin is eccentric and funny.

Usefullness:
Miranda and Samara are the two most powerful squadmates by a long shot.

Least Favorite Personality:
To be honest I like everyone, even Jack. She reminds me of a really obnoxious girl I know in real life who acts the same way.

Least Favorite Usefullness:
I dont use grunt often, nor tali.
