Please explain in more detail. You've got me totally confused.

I'll make you a video of it I'm at the point where this mission is availible in one of my playthroughs.  The idea is you have to defy her attempts to seduce you.  If you go full on "oh yeah baby tell me moar" you can't use the interupt option for Paragon or Renegade which is what you appear to have done.

Maybe you chose the wrong options while talking to her in the bar. I mean my first playthrough i couldnt get her choosing random options between topics. after each question she asks you and you make the right choice pay attention to the options given to you in response, maybe those matter in being able to resist the seducing.

Lol, I've probably attempted this mission about 30ish times. I could probably recite the entire thing word for word.

You don't understand... Under normal circumstances I'd be compelled to help ya but you seem to have it all figured out.



You're right it's a bug that only happens on your copy of the game and no one else's. You have it all figured out and Bioware owes you a patch. Maybe someday you'll get that patch so you can finish with Morinth.

I have a very similar build (Shock Trooper) and NG+ on 360, and I was able to recruit Morinth with less Renegade points. I was just into the 4th red bar area and you are into the 5th bar area.

I had the same problem as you. Yet I was able to recruit her as paragon, when I had substantially less paragon points. It seems a bit ridiculous that renegade persuasion is so much harder in most of the situations I've encountered.

What, diplomacy works better than pointing a gun in people's faces and pulling a Schwarzenegger? I'm shocked!

No, you see, you HAVE done too many missions before Samara's loyalty mission. You've actually done the entire game, since this is a NG+.

It seems to me that plenty of persuasion checks are tied to level. You're level 30. It's likely you need a maximum bar for the Morinth check. As a level 25 character, I needed 80%. Maybe it's tied into the number of missions you've done, too. Have you already done everyone else's loyalty missions? A lot of N7 missions? Did you pick up Tali and/or Thane before Samara?

In any case, persuasion checks becoming harder on a NG+ is utterly backwards, IMO. I think NG+ should relax the persuade requirements, honestly, allowing you to experience the story any way you choose.

I’m having a similar problem with the Tali/Legion conflict. I am in the final renegade bar and yet have no renegade choice to make. In my first game I had no problem with my paragon option on this same thing.

It's just a little funny that you are the only person in this thread who seems to think I'm doing something incorrectly. And then you give an answer (that isn't an answer) that doesn't make any sense and then get all funny about it and pretend you know the answer.

I have Morinth on NG+ level 30 with far less Renegade points. Just completed the mission between posts. I have 2 bars of paragon and just a hair over 3 bars renegade and I got "BOTH" options by using the Paragon flag in the bar conversation and the renegade responces in her appartment. You know using the dialogue with critical thinking in mind...



Good luck with your bug though. I'm sure someone at Bioware will spend 10 hours or so researching and fixing the bug for you.

I got the option on both playthroughs... However I had full paragon first time and full renegade on the second.

Protip: Incorrect dialogue choices result in larger Paragon/Renegade requirements.

His renegade bar is a lot lot higher than mine was and i had no problem choosing who to kill.

Did you choose the personal upgrade that gives bonus to Para/renegade scores or the one that boosts power more?? If you chose the one that doesn't boost your Para/ren scores go to your ship and rebuild your character to take this option and then retry the conversation. If you truly were totally renegade and have done all the missions, you really should have a maxed meter.

I obtained Morinth through the renegade path and I don't remember it being particularly difficult at all. When the option comes up during their big fight, I just picked her over Samara. Odd...

Except I had the same problem when I was not doing a new game plus. And I doubt it was becuase of dialogue choices I made leading up to the scene with Morinth, becuase everything I said to Morinth in the bar was the same as what I said to her when I was a paragon. Meanwhile on my NG+ I have had no troubles with this scene when I was a paragon.

I have to agree that your level is far too high to pull off the switch. As far as I know all the loyalty missions unlock after the Collector ship regardless of conversation progress, so you should be able to do Samara's as early as level 17.

What level were you? How many missions had you done prior to Samara's loyalty one?

I really wish BioWare would come out and tell us how the persuade-check system works in this game. I really wish NG+ unlocked all options automatically, too. Half the arguments for keeping the NG+ on the old board centred around having built up both your Charm/Intimidate to the point that you could choose any option you liked and experience any story you wanted.

My imported Shep, for example, was an optimised Level 60 who had been through the game four times and had full Charm/Intimidate bars. I didn't have to worry about "Paragon/Renegade" level and could simply roleplay him as the mixed bag he was. Now, however, I always have the paragon/renegade score at the back of my mind, because I know if I miss out on points I might miss out on dialogue choices.

Tis a little frustrating.

I haven't been able to recruit her during any of my runs (which have all been fresh characters). I have tried many variations and they all have the same disappointing results.



I wouldn't say that it is a bug, but I have yet to figure out the secret to recruiting her and all of the info available online is rather vague.
