So i had a problem with the Shale Quest... Bioware removes my post after people trying to help me... There was no spoiler info going on inside the discussion and for some reason i cant post on the spoiler forums. So bioware doesnt want me to get help...
They say to refer to EA games... cant find a link that works the one they posted is broken.
Ive played Bioware games forever. I still have the Baldurs Gate 2 Shadows of Amn poster on my Wall from like........ 2000'ish?
Customer service has been appauling. There are TONS of bugs... this game needed about a month more in Beta or needed an Open Beta because they obviously didnt get what they needed done in the closed.
Ive baught and played everysingle bioware game there is and was. Getting no response about my DLC error issues makes me really upset.
I had several friends (10 to be exact) buy this game because I praised Bioware for making arguably the best RPGs there is.
If I dont get a response from someone that works at Bioware about DLC issues since the link they gave me to EA was broke, and i Cant find EA's dragonage support page I will not be pushing business towards Bioware's games and infact will demand a refund for a faulty product.
I in total provided you with over 600$ of income from refering this game because it is an amazing RPG. If you do not provide proper customer service I will stop the people I know who play games from buying your games on the basis of customer service that is TERRIBLE. Don't think this works? Ask WoW and Warhammer Online (which died essentially to inbalancing and TERRIBLE customer support). People dont put up with a no response from video game companies anymore those days are over.
I didnt think it would be a requirement to bring my bug spray with me into DAO, apparantly I was wrong.
If this is NOT the place to post errors make a proper place to post them and have a team of people respond to them. I see A LOT of people in these forums with problems and getting no official help, just good gamers trying to help out eachother. You have a responsibility to your gamming community; you do not make a game then wash your hands of it. Provide a support page on the official DAO site as well.
Um ya no...Bioware cont.

I have the DLC downloaded and checked off for Stone Prisoner. At no point in the game have i gotten the quest for Shale. There is no location on my map, im not a video gaming noob.
I have explored every option, every variation of why I havent gotten the quest. Ive play through the game on 2 dif chars putting 20ish hours on each taking 2 different decision paths (good then evil). I played the game all the way up to clearing out Wardens Keep and clearing out Redclif Castle. From what my friends have told me they just "qot a quest" they cant even remember how they got it. It required them to get a rod from a merchant and yadayada.
I have gotten no quest, and have gone and talked to every merchant there is. NOTHING. Therefore the game is broken and needs to be patched. After all this investigation i tried something a friend suggested in disabling the DLC then saving the game then forcelaunching the game. That did not fix it either.
I have the DLC installed
I tried the forcelaunch Tactice
Played through the game twice to where I SHOULD have gotten Shale
NO Shale present.
I Have troll'd through the forums and have not seen a single response that answers my questions from a forum poster. If you have the answer to my problem please try.
But i know a technical bug when i see one (i have beta tested before) and this is one of them. please fix.

The quest is called Sulcher's Pass. It should have been added to your journal as soon as you restarted the game after installing the DLC. It should also have added an area by the same name to you world map on the western side.
