Specifically, have the mod gurus found ways of adding either more bonus skills, or replacing existing skills with others in th classes?

I'd like that too... It was nice in ME1... Hope they find a way soon...

I have tried a few things in the coalesced.ini with no success thus far. I have put it out there in a couple of modding threads from various sites. If anyone figures it out, myself included, I'll put a how to up here. However, I am more of a dabbler than a guru so right now I am hoping the gibb's savedgame mod will be able to mod skills.

I'm not a 'mod guru', but having played around a bit with the available tools (Gibbed's SaveGame Editor http://twitter.com/gibbed and Iron Spine's Coasced Editor http://social.biowar...t/1854/#details) and loosely followed some ME2 modding threads, I have to say, that it might not be possible. The obvious attempt to edit the savegame files did not work (for me) for picking powers :-(

Changing, weapon loadouts, talent points and much more is possible though. It is also possible to make powers available as bonus, so you can either pick them at the beginning or learn them via the advanced training research. Making NPC cloth, faces, models etc. available also works.

I hope someone succeeds in swapping the powers around :-)

The strange thing is, that via the 'Raw' tab you actually have access to the powers (add, delete), but in-game it doesn't change. Gibbed says editing powers is 'not implemented yet'. So maybe he knows it's possible and is working on it :-)

Damn, I hope it's not hardcoded, that would be sad!

The best I've seen by now regarding ME2 mods is that edited Coalesced.ini that allows you to wear near any NPC casual outfit of the game. Apart from that, I doubt 3rd-party ME2 mods will ever bright :P (lack of tools/documentation). We'll just have to rely on official DLC's.

It is entirely possible to add extra bonus powers, though. I have a character that have added both Geth Shield Boost and Inferno Grenades. Just create a new talent entry by "raw" and copy the information from a savegame where you have whatever bonus talent it is you want.

No dice on changing or adding talents, though. I'd really, really, really like an Infiltrator with Incendiary Ammo instead of Cryo Ammo, but so far.. nothing. :(

Ah well, that's too bad.

Still, at least editing helps out with weapons. I've modified my Vanguard so that he starts with 15 extra squad points, exchanges his heavy pistol for an Assault Rifle, and has Sniper Rifles from the start. That guy carries more firepower than a soldier. Or as Kaiden said, enough to wipe out a platoon.

He even gets to choose a revenant.
Absolute Pwnage
