Funny the observation room being locked till recruiting a certain member. Like telling the crew if your not working your eating, sleeping, or using the head (Bathroom).

Then again I get the strange feeling my crew slacks off quite a bit...

I never did understand the whole "access is restricted until you get the team member" thing. This is my ship, I will go where I damn well want to go. They can populate the rooms as I get team members but don't restrict my access to that room it angers me.

you cant, i have a mod in which you can do many things (max paragon, fast mo. and stuff) and when i activated noclip i floated trough the door, it's just empty space, but if you look on the map with M if you'r on the crew deck it definitively shows a room there! (+ it says "Port Observation") so there is a crew member coming there, and since i find the kasumi files i'm sure it's her

also, now i'm talking about noclipping you know that on a "certain" point you can fight and stuff in the cargo bay (the big room which you can look at in engineering, level 5) (the point you fight there is in the end of the game, but im not telling anything because of SPOILERS) but if i noclip trough the window that overlooks the cargo bay, i can just walk there, it's fully there, no missing parts or something, no holes, so why not put 2 more crew members there for dlc? the only thing it doesnt have is a fully functional elevator! (the space for the elevator is there, the only thing that misses is the thing you use to go to other decks, the "Elevator - Use" thingy, but you can stand there and stuff)

!!!

Damn collectors must have snuck aboard and planted a high-yield explosive in that section and set it off without my knowing.

EDI - Scan the ship for more explosives.

I think you should Count UP to the DLC rather then count down. You'll have better success of hitting the target date.

You mean just by default by not declaring what I'm counting up to first?

Worth a shot. Ok, I'll give it a good.

That area of the ship is for a certain mission in the story, and is of one time use. <Tried to hide spoilers xD>

I've been doing the same thing, checking the forums daily for DLC news. ME2 was so short that I'm in dire need of a fix soon.

The last time I heard a game developer say "When it's done" was 3D Realms talking about Duke Nukem Forever so let's hope not in this case.

It does feel slightly odd that I'm in a position where even getting an announcement for when the primary announcement will come would be exciting.

I think things that you got for free in ME1 as part of the game, like guns, armour, your vehicle and all of you team mates, now equal DLC for ME2.

Tomorrow is too soon to expect the DLC itself. Wait for the official announcement :) Hang in there :)

This looks like a vaguely worded hint that the announcement will come tomorrow.

Uhm, just for the record, I know the way the post-timer rounds to 1 day or 2 days might be slightly misleading, but that "tomorrow" in question was yesterday, and it obviously didn't come.

Hrmmm...really?!  Operation Anchorage was about an hour and ultra linear and you could only do it once per character.  Not that great.

The Pitt was mediocre.  It felt pretty linear, with a few choices toward the end, but still linear and not worth playing again.

Broken Steel was only relevant if you played a ''good'' character.  If you went the ''evil'' route it was ilrelevant, and the whole thing should've been in the vanilla game not a paid dlc.

Point Outlook was the only one that was actually good.  Open ended, variety of enemies, and quests.  If BIoware did one like this - in terms of variety and length.  I would agree.

I suspect we will find out about more DLC no more than a day before it is released. Seems to be the new trend so as not to miss the target date and make us all happy that we're getting new stuff 'right away'...

Couple means 2, few means anything from 3-4 weeks!

I'm in agony waiting for new contact, but just want to ask, where did you see someone say it was significant DLC?

Ah, my apologies, I didn't notice this question until just now.

The "significant" statement was made by the same mod who commented in this thread within the past 6 or 7 days.

I can't be bothered to track it down right now, but the thread I believe had some combination of the words "DLC" "Twitter" and "Clarification" in the title if you want to hunt down the full statement.

Considering they cut so much content out of the game, it should be here soon.

1st of all you're obviously an impostor.  Everyone knows the REAL Cluck Norris would have a beard.

2nd of all, I agree.  The Hammerhead was supposed to be ready for launch and in the vanilla game.  When they decided to remove it, they obviously knew they would release it later as DLC (as evidenced by the pre-release announcements) which means that surely they've still been working on it.  Which means surely it can't be THAT far away.

DLC is a great means of extending a game's lifespan beyond the vanilla experience, however too many developers seem to see it as a license to release unfinished games.  Bethesda, I'm looking at you and Oblivion.  Great fun as Oblivion was, it just obviously wasn't finished.  The spell tomes and horse armour were originally supposed to be in the game.  Not so sure about the "hideout" type DLC.  Then look at things like the fine iron and fine steel weapon sets.  I firmly believe that every weapon and armour set was supposed to have a "fine" version, coz after you get access to a new type of equipment the previous set becomes pretty much obsolete.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that the "significant" DLC they've hinted at is not the Hammerhead, but the DLC pack that will tie into the Mass Effect: Redemption comic.  I'm expecting something akin to the Knights of the Nine pack for Oblivion - decent length new quest chain, with new story elements, new items etc.  Probably new places to visit as well.  They might make the Hammerhead part of this, but I doubt it...

Well there's no point in asking the mods questions they can't answer, but if javier or any mod in-the-know is on, I think this one could probably be answered:

Does anyone know / is it possible for us to know *where* the announcement will first go up, so we know where to keep checking? I'm assuming you can't tell us when the announcement will go up, but is where shareable?

Would be easier to simply check the same thing constantly then checking each of the subforums here and the twitter again and again and again.

/bumping this one just so that the mod post will be back on the front page since people started bringing up this subject in another thread.
