hopefully we will still get to play as our warden with our choices carrying over for a few expansions or da2 so that they have a chance to build up and expand also it would be cool to see how our choices affect those around us over time and how we addapt to different surroundings and their political side

This would be bitter for those who made the ultimate sacrifice, especially if Bioware is ignoring this ending...

Attn.: BioWare employees:

No sleep for you!

I don't want PC voice acting. I have problems enough with the voiced blurbs. But to each her/his own.

BioWare if u are reading this, please, please make morriga play important role in the expansion. He is the best game character ever. I hope morrigan will play major part in second game.

What they said, but the opposite.

Please let Morrigan never be heard from again, unless she shows up for a few seconds in the second game to be killed off for real.

i know but thats why i said they should give you the option to play as your gw or start a new character that way those who want to play as their gw can and those that did the us ending dont have to use that gw so it should make everyone happy just if you read alot of the posts which i have there are people who would like to keep their gw if it is possible

My fave play through was a human male who kept Morrigan at camp (since I played him pretty much as a good guy). I thought her relationship to my PC was one of the most complicated and fun romances ever! It was genuinely sad the way she was torn between her mission and loving the PC.

Personally, I'd like all DA:O loose ends tied up before DA2. That would mean finding Morrigan and resolving everything (whatever that means). Collecting on Sten's promise to not fight my PC if a battle is on between Quarians and Fereldans, you get to see your other baby (for Dwarf Noble origin) see all the old (and hopefully all the new) companions in one way or another and basically kick some serious Architect ****. I'd like DLC and expansions to get it all buttoned up so that way, come DA2, we can start with a clean slate and just hear about our previous past deeds.

It'd be cool if Bioware could figure out a way to have a statue of our hero and have the head look like our character by using past saves from DA:O.

Like a big statue where I could look up its nose :D

@ Knight

I know you would enjoy being a qunari and such, but the option should be there to continue the story, note the key word is option, couldn't they make spin off games to quench the thirst? I mean I want to be a geth in mass effect so shepard should be able to be geth right? I know in a sense its apples and oranges but whats the point of introducing characters if they are only going to be used for one game? whats the point of choices albeit big or small, if they are only seen for one expansion pack why not have the game be completely linear then? I mean I know theres some linearity needed for sake of even being able to make an expansion, but one can hope right?

akin to the king consort thing, thats just it your a king consort, not a king so you don't have to sit in court parlaying with nobles you can have the best of both worlds so to speak, I know you can account for every single ending but maybe you were just supposed to experience those different endings with a few endings being canon, perhaps awakenings will be the same way. but theres something more in store for the warden eh?....perhaps

i thought morrigan was a great character a bit annoying at times but she certainly had her moments of making you laugh too like when she talks to you and you ask if its her having her first feeling that was cool

First and foremost, I'd like to see Bioware pick up the carriage they have built and not abandon its packages.  Baldur's Gate 2 introduced innovations that are no longer used by Bioware.  The tavern where one could become actually drunk, varied campsites (and tavern rooms) and streets that one might even sneak a rest in, friendships with NPC and developing and changing ones own home camp/fortress.  These things are important to CRPG and should be kept.  No one else seems to be making quality CRPG to match or surpass BG2, which is a shame.  It seems like something inesteemably sad occurred during the making of Baldur's Gate 2 and interfered with development in that game and the games that came after.

I hope we will have a wider range of starting backgrounds, more varied (even unto initial religion, language, and factional or political outlook), and with a less defined story but more possible influence on world events.  I hope areas will be larger and that characters more diverse too.  Ending stories could be piecemeal phrases that are put together from what events transpire and how they resolve with reasonable resolution to large events (in terms of factional or civilization victories and losses) as longer storylike paragraphs.  The "notes" and "journal entries" should be more organized in terms of where the note is found and who it refers to and where it refers to -- these might have a menu option as to how they're organized, like in a search listing for the computer files.

I'd like it if players were able to array strategies for an army, work for that army and undertake missions, or even have no affiliation with the struggle at all (or just act as merchants to sell to various powers).  While this might seem complex, if NPC leaders and NPC soldiers have access to similar or self-same strategic choices to player characters, this might be governable and lead to predicated behavior rather than a basket of errors and a long list of exploits and cheats.

I'd like it if the sequel isn't so flawed in terms of detail as the first.  Such matters as cadavers never being cleaned away in undevestated civilized areas is a problem.  Also, more dangerous AI and more capable pathfinding should be included: opponents should have potions and equipment that they should use as well as drop on death, adventuring opponents should be no less well equipped and varied than player adventurers.  It might be interesting if a character who has been abandoned or who has grown hostile becomes a leader of their own band and a competitor to interact with rather than a distant tale one reads the summary of at endgame.

There shouldn't be silly & stupid situations such as only one keep or headquarters being available (with only the exterior being used).  Adventurers (including NPC) should be able to declare a captured hovel/house/manse/castle/palace as their own and to try to defend it, or to purchase the same or to be granted the same, using it as a base from which to adventure.

Of course if Mass Effect 2 is any indication of future trends for all Bioware games, there might be movement along multiple surfaces, thus making Assassins Creed 2 and Mirror's Edge only worth consideration for hardcore action fans -- after all, if one might have many measureless lengths of gameplay styles as can be found in a role-playing game, who needs a devoted action game?  Also, fans who were disappointed that the gameplay in DAO did not match the advertisements might be encouraged by a game that does permit more activity *and* good role-playing situations.

I should also hazard to mention that the toolset should be easier and more accessible, it should be almost gamelike in its structure, much more like Populous than a UNIX C++ software suite.

Of course, Bioware is trying to tell a story not to be the game The Guild 4.  I realize this but I also think that Bioware is cramping itself with a formulaic style that could lead to reduced sales in the future.  I do also believe Bioware could do better than The Guild has and in light of there being no fantasy life sims (and no dark fantasy life sims), Thedas could permit a wide range of spinoff games.  However as to Dragon Age 2?  I hope to see more dark fantasy life sim in it, more dark fantasy grand strategy, and finally much more dark fantasy role-playing.

All the same, what player hasn't wished they could have put Imoen on the throne of a kingdom or run off with Morrigan and abandon ones mission as a game warden.  What consumer fan of Baldur's Gate hasn't wished that they could play a grand strategy version of the game, ignoring the whole Bhaalspawn story.  I'm not really a fan of the Bhaalspawn nor of the Darkspawn nor of the Spahnspawn Fawn Pond (the Spahn are a nice family though).  With a Runequest computer game on the horizon (the license for which has been granted to someone), it's likely we might be seeing a rampant set of old school RPG being made into computer and console games.  If so, D&D 4th edition won't withstand nor sell and neither will many of the less wisely structured CRPG and CRPG settings.  Thedas stands to hold some interest albeit it resembles Thea of the Seventh Sea RPG, Ars Magica, and a few RPG that are more recent and yet somewhat better defined and also seem to depart from a few RPG stereotypes.

I have suggested that Bioware get a license to make a line of computer games for a standard and traditional pre-nineties RPG before, but maybe Thedas will stand the test of time.

In any case, I hope Dragon Age 2 will steam ahead into incorporating features lost since Baldur's Gate 2, incorporate new features yet unseen but often teased at by other associated games, and prove every bit as revolutionary and cutting edge in gameplay as Bioware should be.

Im sorry for those who do not wish morrigan to come back because she is the most awesome character. She is responsible for some of the best things which happen in this game such as the plot twist, romances and so on. CLAUDIA BLACK!!!

I'd like it to be based around Morrigan's baby and you get a choice when you encounter her (whether it is you who seek her out or she seeks you out) and you make a choice and that choice makes her the villain or companion and the rest of the game is based around those sides... on one side you help her defeat the Chantry or something like that, or on the other side you help the Chantry defend against her and the child... Plenty of replay that way also.

how would that work for those that didnt do the ritual and let loghain sacrifice himself, while morrigan is a great character so were other companions and just as you feel its important to have her those that married anora or alistair probably feel having them in expansions or dao is just as important if you get my point but not all choose to do the ritual so bioware making it a major part of a story might annoy them that didnt do the ritual but me personaly i would like to see her back in da2 as i thought she was cool

I would like two things. First I want a mute button for my wife so that she can't interupt important scenes in the game. I have gotten to the part with Branka three times and still don't know what she says.

Second I would like to have some missions of clearing out the deep roads and helping to make it inhabitable for the dwarfs again.

I just wanna have an option to play our original Wardens and for Leliana to be in it as a companion.

That's all I need.

There's also stuff I want, but it's not important as long as I get my old Warden and Leliana.

 - i hope to see mounts in dragon age 2 and in particular the griffons.

 - and it will be an interesting title ( Dragon Age And The Rise Of The Griffons ).

 - and the grey wardens where able to tame these griffons.

- but also the darkspwan where able to tame dragons.

 - as for the other mounts , only the intelligent darkspawn , who can think and talk , tamed horses and by their dark magic and power they turned these horses into black , with two horns , well armored and high strength big horses.

 - but the grey wardens also tamed horses with huge and lethaly tusks that could sway anything and an incredible speed and senses , flexible enough to make superb jumps and melee combat hits.

 - also i hope for more strategy wars where the grey wardens are expecting the darkspawn , at this point the trap talent could be more effective , also a skilled collison would give an advantage for the grey wardens or the darkspawn.

 - i hope to see the ability of building catapults and training soldiers in wars or in towns to secure it and preventing the darkspawn attacks.

 - also building commanding posts to decide which territory to attack next.

 - adding more classes like a qunari class or an assassin class which is similar to the rogue class but significantly weaker but significantly stealthy and the ability of acrobatic movements and  deathly critical hits and the knowledge of weak spots.

 - as for the combat i hope that the characters attack while moving it's not necessary to stand still in order to attack and the ability of attacking multiple darkspawns at the same time.

 - and i hope for multiple finish to several darkspawns and the finish happen all the times becasue sometimes in DA the finish doesn't occur.

 - and for the main theme there is a music which is played in ostagar before coming a grey warden i hope this music will be enhanced with more instruments.

 - and of course the previous posts focused on an very important topic which is morrigan.

 - and for the map ,  i hope it would be open map but the player can open the map and fast travel to the desired location.

 - also i hope for a free roam after the game ends because it's very sad to see a game like dragon age come to an end.

well that's it , i hope i didn't write too much but what can i say it's never enoughImage IPB.

it would be very bad for those that didnt do the ritual to all of a sudden have morrigans old god child turn up so i dont see how that could be a major part of da2 i hope our old companions do make a comeback though and more origins to choose from maybe a human commoner or antivan crow as well as some other choices

a powerful tevinter mage has ambitions of rebuilding the lost empire and through blood magic finds a way to control the darkspawn or even finds another arch demon.

or

you play an advanced darkspawn(like architect) and you have to unite nations against a greater threat. an army or demons from the fade or something like that.

But if it's a continuation of DAO I want to c wat happens to the Dalish and Fereldans since I asked Anora To give the Dalish Land!
