In my current play through (male city elf) I've already got her approval rating too high and now the dialogue about her life in Orlais as a spy which would eventually activate her quest has gone. Apparently this 'bug' is supposed to be fixed in patch 1.02a but I have applied the patch yet I still can't get this dialogue to appear. I applied the patch during this play through, while the quest opportunity has gone. Does the patch fix only affect new play throughs created after the patch has been applied? Or can the quest still be activated in my current game? If so, how do I get the quest going?

First ive heared of this bug.I would suggest loading a previous saved game other than that youll have to make a new game.

The patch only fixes it if you apply it before you reach the borked approval issue.
However, since you have the PC version, you can always use the console to enter debug mode and manually edit her approval back down to where you need it.
