Total unbased conjecture on my part, but what if there was a way to tame the Reapers?  Hacking their AI, virus, rouge Reaper?

Taming a Reaper is hard as apparently even being inside one will subjugate you to Indoctrination. If an AI was able to assume control of a Reaper then maybe. Though that's highly unlikely.

I say indoctrinate the reaper... make him listen to Metallica, watch american cartoons and eat only hamburgers... he'll do anything you tell him in no time.

use a cow bell to summon these guys?
