Omg, this puzzle is impossible! The one with the incorporeal bride over the chasm. I've been running around for an hour and have only succeeded in giving myself motion sickness.
I don't need the solution, but a few hints and tips to put me on the right track would be great. All I've figured out so far is that you need to put dudes on squares, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which squares activate which tiles.
Puzzle in the sacred ashes quest.

That puzzle is the most annoying thing in the game.

I had fun with it..took about 20-30 mins of trial and error for me to figure it out...then another 10 Because I got destroyed in the next battle and forgot to save first.

I loved that puzzle...maybe I'm weird.
The best way to solve it is to get a piece of paper and draw the layout, and mark where each party member is supposed to stand and where and who moves. Also, so you don't have to restart each time you get it wrong, figure the puzzle out without walking your PC through.

Top side: 3 - 4 - 1 - 4 - 4 - 2 : Counts for strength of 2.
Bottom side: 3 - 1+2 - 1 - 2+3 - 3+4 - 2 : COunts for strength of 1.
You need 3 strength to materialize a part of the bridge.
You have 4 party members.
You should always be able to move atleast ONE member other than the one moving across.
