That link doesn't really confirm it at all considering the original thread name was "Lich Guy...kinda hawt" and didn't mention The Architect at all. There were still debates going on a few days ago and today we finally got a subtle confirmation from Bioware about who The Architect is.
Except then the thread starter (myself) PMed David to ask if it was the Architect (cause I didn't think it was) and he told me lich guy is the Architect.
Which is why I updated the thread title.

Yes. Instead we should all assume that he is the hot lich/darkspawn romance option that doesn't really exist.
Er.. Oops. XD
That would explain why the romances don't carry over.

I know perfectly well what a lich is, both by etymology and fantasy interpretation , but he looks nothing like one. As I said, the ribcage is the only thing that makes him resemble a corpse (apart from skin color, which can be attributed to his bad case of NOT BEING HUMAN).Siradix wrote...

Honestly, I don't see why people call him "Lich Guy".
I called him Lich Guy because I thought he was a lich.

Well he is a darkspawn mage, some darkspawns were once humans. Are darkspawn considered dead though?
No, but I didn't know he was a dorkspawn when I called him lich guy.

@Siradix:
I was under the impression that most all of them used to be mortals; hurlocks are former humans, genlocks were dwarves, shriekers were elves and ogres were qunari. I think. Or was that just the Broodmothers that spawn them?

He looks kind of snaky.....was looking at that thing on the side of his head.

Okay bear in mind I haven't read the books, but I am wondering if he was one of the Original mages cast out by the Maker? Can still see his "humanity" somewhat...just not sure what that snaky thing is on the side of his head, unless its just some kind of fancy helmet. Or unless he can spawn things out of his head. lol

Depends on the original race of the broodmother before they were transformed to broodmother.
Elven broodmother produces Shrieks, Dwarven broodmother produces genlocks, Human broodmother produces hurlocks, qunari broodmother produces ogres.
