At the end of the side mission for Zaeed the option for paragon conversation is greyed out. Yes I know that means I have lower paragon choice, but the problem this is my second run through with this character and the first playthrough I had much lower level but was still able to do the option.  Its frustrating because It makes it impossible for Zaeed to become loyal where I was able to do it on my first playthrough with this character.

You know, that your Paragon/Renegeade Scales get resettet on each playtrough? And Paragon/Renegade choices are not dependant on Character level but only on Paragon/Renegade meters?

I have the same problem. On my first playthrough the paragon dialog option was available to me even though my paragon bar was still very low, Zaeed's loyalty mission was one of the first missions I did after recruiting Garrus and Mordin on Omega. this time I saved Zaeed's loyalty mission until right before getting the reaper IFF. My paragon bar is at 80% or so and yet the dialog option is greyed out. it's no problem I'll go with the renegade solution. I'm just wondering what's causing the discrepancy.

I am just guessing here, but I am thinking that the difficulty checks for paragon/renegade go up the higher level you are.

I never encountered this bug on any of my playthroughs, including consecutive runs with an imported character. I also did Zaeed's personal mission immediately after wrapping up Omega (sans Samara). I have the Collector's Edition for PC, retail box.



On what system/which version are you playing/experiencing this bug?

I'm using WinXp pro 32 bit Sp3 and playing the steam version of ME 2.



And I was thinking the same thing Mavkiel but after doing some browsing a lot of people seem to have all kinds of differing opinions.

It seems with Zaeed's loyalty mission, or at least for me. It's all dependent on how soon you do it. The paragon option wasn't available to my first play where I got Zaeed after the suicide. Even though my paragon was maxed out. Second play through I did his mission right away, had really low paragon, but still got the option. Not really sure if this is even a bug or if they meant for it to be like that, I don't know why but who knows.

Same issue, completed Zaeed's loyalty almost immediately on the first playthrough and managed to persuade him despite low paragon. For my second playthrough I left his mission until the Reaper IFF mission became available and I had already finished most other loyalty missions, I just got a greyed out paragon option when it comes to persuading him.



Think it's something Bioware need to address.

I have the same issue, didn't do the mission immediately & now I have about 70% of max paragon but the charm option is grayed out.



Anyone know a workaround?

Try doing it with max paragon.

Just tried it, the issue can be resolved by doing the mission with max paragon.
