It's a safe assumption but only an assumption. The codex makes a point of saying that both species evolved along similar lines but just have different DNA, being dextro based.

They have glowing eyes and are heavily cybernetically modified. It makes you wonder how much organic tissue is left.

Being amino-dextrous means that Quarians are of the opposite protein chirality of humans, whom are amino-sinister. This means they cannot eat the same foods or take the same medications, though it's uncertain if being exposed to amino-sinister materials would cause anaphylactic shock.

Never mentions anywhere that Quarians are heavily cybernetically modified.

As a result of their different protein chiralities, I would presume that their DNA is a right-handed helix rather than a left-handed helix, as well.

Considering the suits, long hair would probably be a burden (as anyone who's worn a wetsuit with very long hair for an extended period will testify), so I'd imagine they'd at least keep it short or render all bodyhair to a minimum. I've always thought the hoods female Quarians wear mimic the shapes and potential styles of scalp hair, which would suggest to me at least that they at least had it, if not still do under the suits. I'd still think that utility would perhaps discourage keeping it long.

*shrug* Just a thought is all.

Do you often hear voices? Making stuff up is the first sign of psychosis.

I believe that poster misread one of the Codex entries for Quarians, which said that one of the many rumors regarding the apperance of Quarians is that they are a hybrid of organic tissue and metal.

Which I think would be a lot more interesting, but is unforunately not true.

Many people, not counting Shepard, have seen what Quarians look like (not to mention there's a porno magazine with Quarians) , so the rumors are clearly just rumors by the ignorant.

No idea about hair, but I hope so. I like women with long hair.

Well since their hoods are basically stand-ins for hair, I'd have to say yes

I think they do, and I'll tell you why:

The only reason none of the ME races besides humans have hair is because the Unreal Engine is so bad at rendering realistic hair. Bioware took the easy option in ME1 and designed their alien species without hair. However, they've clearly gotten better at designing hairstyles in the engine (some of the ME2 hairstyles were far superior to those in ME1), and there has to be at least one other species with hair so that humans don't look like freaks.

Quarians are perfect, because nobody knows what they look like, they're mammalian, and above all, we're unlikely to ever see more than one or two of them without their helmets (probably Tali). That means all Bioware has to do is design one unique hairstyle for Tali and show us, and boom, all Quarians 'have hair' without any additional work required on Bioware's part.

Quarians did evolve from primates so it's not unfair to assume they have some hair. I kind of imagine Tali with short to medium length hair. It does not make sense for them to have long hair. I also imagine that male quarians either have really short hair or they just shave it off.

Yea, it's actually a pretty genius move on Bio's part, if it works out that way.

Just based on the shape of the hoods they wear, I'm guessing that they do have hair. If they didn't I would assume they would have gone with more of a smooth fitted helmet.
