Ugh, that sounds like something out of Twilight, and the following is about the same too.

Your Team Tali shirt is in the mail.

I don't get the Twilight hate either. I liked it, it was a fun little read, especially if you're a touch on the sentimental side. Some of the characters were wonderful. I understand if people don't like, but why waste so much of your life actively hating something. Such a waste.

I never hated Twilight, but boy did I sure despise some of the fans.

People hate because hate is easy. It's a release. Like ranting.

It's kind of sad, but the truth sometimes is.

You think hating things is easy?

I shudder at the idea of what you find hard.

Meh, I appreciate the effort to try and move the genre forward. Not a fan of the sparkles either, but I liked the idea that vampires could go out in the day without exploding. Now maybe someone else can take that idea, move it forward and come up with another reason besides sparkles.

It is by no means the central theme of the book.

Oh. Nothing that can be bought yet. It is a novel I am writing, tentatively titled Legacy of the Chosen. I 'm working on the end of the book, right now I am doing an editing pass on the earlier chapters. I'm in the process of looking for a literary agent, so hopefully within the next year it will be close to being published.

He wouldn't care, I think. It's not part of his credo.

I've always found hating things takes an incredible amount of energy and is very time consuming, which makes it hard to sustain aforementioned hatred for any length of time.

Hey, do you mind friending me and updating me if the title changes? I'd be interested in reading a book written by a fellow forumite.

I don't get it either. It is easy to sit back and hate something. It is much harder to try and understand another's perspective, walk in their shoes so to speak, or God forbid actually just accept something harmless that you don't like as not wrong but just different.

I generally hate things that can be changed. Like ideas. I work my ass off to disprove the idea that I hate or mold it to fit my view until I no longer hate it.

I'm very passionate about things I do so I expend great amounts of energy on them.

Ah. I see. Well, for a lot of people I think you will find it is easy. I wish we were all like you.

For instance, it's easy for me to hate this site for logging me off every 15 seconds, forcing me to log in over and over just to write the simplest post. However, I don't hate it, because I love Bioware and Mass Effect and I understand it's still a beta site.

But I must employ a great deal of patience in the meantime.

It’s not just the militant extremism or the desire to have their woman covered from head to toe, it is their near religious fanaticism that gets me the most.   Anybody who attempts to draw a picture of their goddess is immediately threaten for they believe no human can possible do justice to her image.  And of course there is the constant proselytizing, you can’t go anywhere without them trying to convert you.   Realize the Talibad rule this forum and my life is endangered but I had to get this off my chest.

I love history. It was my major in university. I don't know why they cancelled that show, I thought it was good. Nothing like really setting foot in the real Rome though, I swear when I walked around the Colliseum and the Forum I could almost feel the ghosts of ancient Romans around me. Very surreal place.
