I'm at the point in the game when you encounter the dog and get to name him.  By mistake I pressed 'B' prior to entering a name.  The game froze for a bit then continued with the dogs name being one of the codes I had redeemed.  How can I go about re-naming the dog?

This happened to me as well, however I put in a name "Merk" and hit start. The game froze for a minute or too (my first ever freeze up on my 360 i might add) then when it came too the dogs name was also a code. A UNIQUE code, not one I have used. I came to the PC to find a way to rename as well, but since you say your dog was named after a code you redeemed, I think I will go try to redeem this one as well.



I still want to rename my dog tho.

ALSO, when I go to the dog's equipment page, it will not let me inspect or equip anything on him. Other characters seem to be fine.



And as a last note, this is my second character, and when I had gotten to this point on the first character (prior to redeeming any codes, actually) it didnt give me any of these issues.

correction: it is the same code from the blood dragon armor that i redeemed.

most people seem to be having this problem with the stone shale code.



reloading the game seems to have corrected the equipment issue.



the name is so annoying, however, i wont be using the dog, especially since you can replace it with whats her name not very long afterward.

its ugly anyway.
