Tali and Garrus were my favorite characters from ME1. I liked Tali, because I thought the story of the migrant fleet was the most interesting back story of all the companion characters and I thought of all the characters, Tali had the most potential for growth. I was really disappointed that she wasn't a possible love interest in ME1.

In ME 2, I feel like Tali and her loyalty mission, along with Legions, were the most relevant aspects of Mass Effect's over-all story line.

Well my last forum post was an epic fail. Yes i'll admit my mistakes and not try to be and "Internet Toughguy". I just want to know why she is loved so much.

Personally I like her because she's like a friend. She's young and it's easier to identify with her because of it. It's not so easy to identify with 'old people' when you're younger. Plus, did you check out the hips on her? Damn. I'd tap that 3 ways till Sunday.

I don't get the Miranda hate personally, she defrosts by the end and is loyal to Shep at the end.

I can explain this. The defrosting comes too late. The only way you'd see her best moment is to bring her to the endgame. I wanted to share my endgame with the people I liked most, not least.

Also, the sex on the engine room floor bit. The only two people on the ship with large private cabins and she picks there. Incredibly tacky and makes me think alot less of her because it seems she purposely picked that spot to rub Tali's nose in it.

Heh, well I didn't do the romance so maybe that helped.

The next line where she says "A young woman is saved by a dashing commander," did it for me. From there on, I was committed.

"What could I possibly be suggesting? I mean, a young woman gets saved by a dashing commander who lets her join his crew and then goes off to save the galaxy? How could she possibly develop any kind of interest in him?"

I loved her before this, but this line was just perfect in relation to my Shepard. It appealed to the inner Swashbuckler in me. It was very much how I played the game.

I like Miranda as a friend as Shepard's XO, but her romance always seemed to be one of animal desire rather than romance.

I've said this many times and I agree, she actually makes a good first officer/friend, I hope she's in ME3.

I don't get the Miranda hate personally, she defrosts by the end and is loyal to Shep at the end.

I agree.  My first playthrough I took Miranda with me to the final battle and I was pleasantly surprised at her actions when TIM came calling.

I agree here, particularly about the last bit. There's no real reason for her to pick the engine room otherwise. Would be far more likely for Miranda to pick her quarters....have Shep go to her instead. To choose Engineering...there's something else going on there.

Miranda is the perfect woman, according to her. Shes proud of her body and she wants everyone to see it. Thats why she chose the only room in the ship that every other room has a window to.

Because her love story is surprising during the game, and, so, we believe it. She is fresh, she is shy, she is innocent, and very romantic, in the deep way of the word.

I have just finished my first ME2, and i was playing with the Miranda´s romance... a cold heart turned to the hot of the light in Shepard´s heart.

However, the words with tali surprised a lot to me in the game in a very nice way. It was like to see a movie.

1: Cute as a button.
2: Very sexy accent.
3: Enviro-suit adds to the "forbidden fruit" / "High risk high reward" aspect.
4: Wrench-wench. Why would this matter, you may ask? Well, it means she is the Kaylee Frye of the Normandy, that's why. And it is AWESOME.
5: Curves, oh good gosh golly, the curves.
6: Liz Sroka's voice delivery is just spot on.

Please don't say that. I'm still recovering from seeing Jacob's romance and that just reminds me of it.

Ya im not sure i honestly didn't like her. I liked the characters with an edge to them.

Idk probably cuz i skipped her diolague in ME1 and mostly again, i dind't think she was that interesting and important

You can imagine how suprised i was when all of these forums came out.

I also liked Miranda better than Ashely. Guess im part of both minorities.

While I typically agree about the girls with an edge, Tali had enough spunk to elevate her past just being the nice girl archetype for me.

Well, I liked Tali more than any other female in this game. This was the same with the first game as well, even though you couldn't actually romance her there. Tali is just an interesting character, she's tough, bold and strong. The only place she is vulnerable is in the romantic feeling department. She is her own person and that person has positive morals and strives to do the right thing for everyone without compromising anyone else. She also has that mysterious thing going on, not because of what is under her suit but because she has that mystique about her. The way a gypsy does really, just by being inherently exotic.

Its not really that hard to understand to me anyway. People that hold fast to their morals always have a place in my heart, even if they are fictional characters that can serve as a reference for moral actions.
