Hello everyone,

I´m quite desperate as my DAO profile does not show as intended. I only have one character, which has already completed the game. Everything in the uploading seems OK: Character XML, Portrait Image, Avatar Image, Story XML are with the green check on them and no errors are present (with the correct number of files uploaded: 4).

In my profile everything shows ok...except the story tab, which is completely empty. I have tried everything to get this work but at the moment (from opening ports to update DAOupdater service, etc) , I have not managed it. I have also searched topics with the similar problem but no anwsers / solutions are given.

It´s quite frustrating as almost the whole profile is perfect, but one of the things I am most interested in (the story, the lore), is not. Any suggestion / fix?

Except to check the story XMLs in your save directories for validity (open in a browser) I can't offer any suggestions, but are you aware that it is just an account of everything you have done in the game?

I have not check the validity of the .xml archives yet but I will as soon as I get back from work. Thank you for this suggestion.

Yes, I´m aware that the story is just a list with the different things I have done along the game (I have even read that there exists some inconsistences in them) but as I have enjoyed so much this awesome game, I would like to show everything perfect in my profile. I know it is useless but it would make my day if it would be fixed.

Your suggestion about the .xml checking has given me an idea... What about deleting the Charactername_story.xml (obiously, saving a backup of the archive) and loading the save? Does the game generate a brand new valid xml with all your story? If so, it could be upload a fresh xml... I think I will give it a try (and I will update here with the results)

I would expect that it is generated anew when an explicit save (not auto- or quicksave) is made. I'm not sure, though.

I can confirm that if you previously delete the file, a new character_story.xml is generated when an explicit save (not auto- or quicksave) is made. However, it also did not work.



So frustrating...
