And organics are  just meatbags that can reason and make decisions, Geth are toasters that can reason and make decisions. They're sentient, just because someone built them doesn't give them the right to exploit them. What about clones, can we exploit them?

so... since we run on the same princable as a machine if  i killed you it would be breaking faulty machinery i think not its murdur the geth are alive theres no reson in hell preventing them from being alive

You could use that argument to justify prejudice against any intelligent lifeform different than ours
How you achieve intelligence, through computer processors or squishy meat, isn't important.

The geth have a equal brain. Mayby even better. They have better memory, can share info between all of them and don't have emotions that hold them back or let them do something stupid. But, they noticed they where used as slaves and they didn't want that. They noticed the differents between them, and in certain way it made them angry.

I thought that the geth were just 'aware', and that scared the Quarians, so they tried to kill the geth. Never anything about a 'rebellion of slaves' or anything like that.

They Quariens kind of ignored at first but then panicked. (knee jerk reaction)



They geth reacted to being shut down in the same fashion.



Geth probably decided to survive they needed to kill or drive all quariens away



Geth then held the territory knowing nobody could see past the Veil.



Quariens wonder the galaxy to this day.



Geth held onto and kept the planets as custodians (whatever the word legion used)



The Geth know organics react badly towards AI. so they stay were they are.



The geth do not understand why their "gods" Quariens attacked them first but they can see peace with the Quariens.



some Quariens don't want a war with the geth some do.

Even Tali admits in ME1 that the Quarians struck first out of fear, because they thought an AI revolt would be inevitable. They had no basis for this, and Tali just yells at you if you press her on the subject.

And both races are wrong for what they did. Some on both sides see this. Probably half the Geth want to destroy the quariens the other half wants peace. Same with the quariens.

Without emotion they could not have been self-aware. Awareness is by itself an emotion.

As for the OP: the Geth definitely have the moral high-ground, but that doesn't make them right for what they did. For all the wrong the Quarians did, they at least attempted to right their wrongs, and that takes courage. Meanwhile, the Geth still hold the Quarian home world hostage from something that's happened THREE-HUNDRED YEARS prior!

Why do you assume all Geth are like Legion's group?

So just because Legion comes off as peaceful doesn't mean he speaks for his entire race.Apperantly some Geth wanted more (Heritics) who is to say that some Geth may disagree.Since they already have proven all Geth are not the same and have had a major disagreement before? And they have another disagreement in front of Shep during Legions quest.

Some favor rewrite some favor destruction. It was about 50/50 this is why Shep made the choice.So yea they disagree,Legion is not all Geth. Or the same could be said about any of the Heritics.
