Just. Wow.

There are many parts of the game I wasn't particulary fond of. Many minor annoyances. A lot of things felt unfinished or unpolished. A screw loose there. A nut or bolt to be fixed here. But the ending.. wasn't one of those things.

I didn't really have anything else to say with this post. I just felt like saying it. The ending is simply amazing. Cliffhangerish, but without being an actual cliffhanger. Like there is more coming, but with a definite end to this chapter. But since I'm creating a thread anyway;

1) I could have missed it, or is it just a plot hole; At the end, Shepard said (may be different for other endings) "Harbinger is coming", yet no-where in the game is there actually a conversation with Harbinger, or the Harbinger/Collector General. How do Shepard even know that Harbinger is a Reaper, or that the reapers were in *direct* control over the Collectors?

2) Does it make a difference if you leave for the Collector's Base right away, instead of finishing up the last loyalty quests? The only one I apparently saved was Chakwas, which makes me a sad panda. Kelly turned to goo in front of my eyes and my engineering crew was nowhere to be seen. :mellow:

yeah you have to go straight to the collector ship to save everyone, i kept everyone alive, squad and crew, so i guess i got the 'best' ending you can get, and what an ending that was, right cliff hanger, but all my squad and crew ready for action :)

1. Read the end mission reports from cerberus that is the only place it is explained really... they pickup on calling it harbringer because he says "we are harbringer".

2. after the IFF mission you can travel to ONE location (legion's loyalty mission usually). Once the crew is abducted go immediately to the omega 4 relay.

I can't help getting the feeling that there were supposed to be a conversation with Harbinger in the game, similar to the one you had with Sovereign in ME1. It's like Shepard knows a bunch of stuff when talking to others, that we (the player) have never been told. For example, that Harbinger is the leader of the Collectors, that he is the one that takes control over individual collectors, and that he is in fact a reaper out with the reaper fleet.

I don't know. It just "feels" like the "The Reveal" was cut.

Actually, I did several. I wasn't attacked by the Collectors (and had my crew abducted) until I tried to go to the Citadel. I'm not sure what triggers it, but I must've done at the very least 3-4 missions between getting the IFF and going to the Citadel/being attacked by Collectors.

But thanks for the answers, anyway. Now I know that after being attacked, I really do have to leave right away to save my crew.
