And calling poor Oghren an old favorite? I like him, but he's not a favorite. Not with many peoiple.

Alistair is my fave too. Oghren would be one of my last choices to have as a major companion.
What the hell made them think Oghren was a fave? or was it that the voice actor was the only one with the time to do more dialogue so they decided to give him a major role.
I saved my game before Morrigan's ritual just to get different endings and refused her ritual and she turns into a grey mutt and runs off, like someone said maybe dog ran off with her
EA tend to stuff up most games they get their hands on. Sims was good until Ea took over from Maxis and now things with sims 3 are totally going down hill.
What are they going to do next? team up with blizzard and stuff up WoW.

Nothing in the FAQ says about anyone being killed off, and there's only one possible ending where Shale reverts to being a dwarf, and Sten could always come back from Qun again ... point being, they all could be back again.
Of course, dogs don't live that long (but maybe Mabari fantasy dogs do), but so, apparently, is the case with tainted Wardens.
I'd like the return of dog at some point, with a bit more ability diversity.
The cool thing about Dog: never hard to find a new voice actor for him!
BTW, I still predict a mod at some point that will let you play him or other companions in the expansion anyway ... but without dialogue. (Although, of course, dog has no 'dialogue' per se, anyway.)

I am curious though. At the games ending, the post celebration. It appears to be "your dog" standing next to Sten. but you are unable to click on it. It seems cruel not to be able to see your dog in the ending. I guess it could be someone's Mabari other than yours, but really? If the dog is dead, why did they not mention this!!
Yes I've noticed this, and it seems clear the unclickable Dog is "your" faithful Mabari (whatever you named it). That should be made clear by having its chosen name float over it, but whatever.
The celebration is for saying goodbye to your companions and asking them what they're going to do next. Is there any point to "asking" Dog what it's going to do next? It's going to keep licking your face, peeing on your garden monuments, barking at night, fetching you useless things, and annoying your companions. Do you have to ask?

All the reasons why he's the most awesome of the companions

He wasn't listed in the FAQ when they mentioned the other possible cameos (Alistair, Wynne, Loghain, & Anora).

Don't see how the only "logical" explanation is that he is dead. Just because they don't mention him in potential cameos doesn't mean that hes right out for sure.bluewolv1970 wrote...
yeah you know the thing about dog sucks and the only logical answer is that he is dead. I really am not excited about this exapnsion for many reasons - being bringing oghren back at the expense of virtually every other chsartcer and then having tell us that he is a bleoved favorite is both annying and insulting. Lets face it if they polled every dragon age owner and made them rank each character from favorite to least favorite the overall consensus would put oghren in the middle at best - definately below morrigan, leilania, dog, alistair, and zevhran. Every new revalation and bit of news that comes out just makes this expansion less enticing

HE'S YOUR FREAKING DOG!
If he's not with you, where is he? Did he suddenly become reverse-imprinted on you and now hates you? (now THAT would be stupid) If not, then he's in Doggie heaven now.......
