Wasn't the Blight. a huge threat? I mean you had a massive army of darkspawn lead by a huge dragon, yet we still had time to solve everyones problems and bed our romance. But this time, there is no time?

#1: No new romances and old ones don't carry over.
#2: No DLC content will be usable. (so no Warden commander armor or special blood abilities or SHale for you)
#3: THEY KILLED YOUR DOG

WELL, since you haven't had a chance to read the threads, I'll sum things up for you.

#3: THEY KILLED YOUR DOG
And if you did the Ultimate Sacrifice that's now 'hand waved' and never happened (the Orlesian Warden has it's own pre-set background which possibly doesn't have a Ultimate Sacrifice in there either)
Oh and yeah, they likely killed your dog

i hope not. I'm hoping the devs take all this into consideration and do something that keeps their fans happy
And do you really think they will be able to continue every possile conclusions from main campaign? There are several possible situations to considerate and I believe it's really difficult to converge them in a unique plot for everybody, unless they adopt radical solution.. (your beloved? dead ! you was king/queen? it was just a joke!)
and I may say that this-is-what-I-don't-want-to-see !!!
After I saw what happened in ME2 to my LI, I'm not really sure I would like to have a direct sequel.. Maybe better if they begin a new story with new characters and let my old character enjoying is life...

These games teh rocks. Crpg? no way, lets do C&C: Awakenings. I mean who needs crappy dialogue anyways? Baldur's gate was pure junk.
/Sarcasm.
This would be funny had I been joking but there are acually alot of people who do play like this outnumber those of us who appreciate good stories.

what if we start over from the other warden. We still can't find a woman to romance. I don't mind them telling us, no new romances but to say because our task is more focused on the new threat, there's no time
Obviously this is a lie, in this first one you have two romance choices as a male PC, 3 if you count zeran. Yet even though you had this, you were able to raise four separate armys and kill a dragon
But killing a few darkspawn, there's not enough time?

it may be a bit difficult to do all possible option yes but not impossible but they could at least do a couple of the more important ones
What are "more important ones"? What is important for me may also not be important for you..
I had 3 playthroughs and I romanced Leliana everytime, and everytime I didn't recruite Zev... This means that I am not interested in seeing Zev in a sequel, while I would like for sure to see Leliana.. There are other players who are crazy for Morrigan, others who wants Zev... others who wants they Dog (as it seems.....).
How could they say.. "yes, this one is more important than those ones... ??"

Important ones would be obviously the ones using basic common sense. Let's say if you Marry Anora, you don't yet become a King you become a regent. I think obviously becoming a regent is Kinda Important, considering Logian was Regent
the entire playthrough and we keep seeing clips of him drinking with the howes and ordering people to come after your head. Obviously the word important can depend on the person. However if you become a regent, noble orgins quest
Then I assume that's of worth? I know dragon age is a great game and we shouldn't be so focused on these things. However it is a choice/moral game, teaches you that your choices have impact's good or bad outcomes through the entire game
the expansion we thought would coutinue alot of stuff but really it seems like a backseat. It's not dragon age part 1/2 it's just really an expansion which I have to assume choices and things mean very little come dragon age 2. Some of us are emotionally attached to the way
we left things, obviously we had different playthroughs and we don't expect every single choice to come into the expansion. Though obviously for how much this expansion was hyped and promoted since they have released that single minute and forty seven second trailor
Then refused to tell us more, we assumed for much of that time alot of different things. Though I will still play the game obviously not happy about way it was carried over. Much like in Mass Effect 2, your choices in one had barely a scratch in the expansion
expect a few new choices

I was talking about DA2... not about this xpac
And what I was saying is just that I fear that they will not be able to continue all the choices even in a Sequel with a multi-millionaire budget. And if they choose to continue only some choices and cut off any other, well... I think this will not be really fair for all those players who ended their DAO campaign in a way they would not continue...
Why.. for example, if you choose to make Alistair king and marry him you should continue this, and you might not continue for example your romance with Lel/Zev ?? It would be really a dirty trick for many users... and they can't do that...

Well then obviously yes I understand. For dragon age 2, I assume they are going to have the events take place in the future. And only carry certain things to part 2. For example, if you being a regent has virtually no impact on the expansion
Then I doubt it's going have impact on Dragon Age 2. I assume that Dragon Age 2 is going have events fast fowarded in the future and Morrgian will have her child, it will grow older into a respectable age...and we will have an entire new party to choose from
If we have Leiana back I don't know. Why I think Morrgian will be back, and I'm a bit biased because I really enjoy Morrgian. Is because her storyline is unfinished, we got little to nothing about her true background..if Morrgian and Flemmeth are the same person
and if you did the ritual, can you imagine a human arch demon with the ablity to talk, walk and cast spells. The ablity to plan and grow stronger. That's the big threat in the future, even if people didn't do the ritual it still claims Morrgian is with child
But back on topic, do I think choices at end of dragon age 1, will have a massive impact at dragon age 2. In my honest thought, since the romances don't coutinue but put on hold in the expansion, only the true romances. i.e. morrrgian, leiana will come back in the sequal
