A recent announcement said you can romance yourself in what will surely be the most controversial cut scene Bioware has produced.



This may be a spoiler, but if you spend too much time in your tent Leilani will return to lecture you about going blind.

The official info. from the FAQ section of the DA: Awakenings page: 
"1.7 – If I had a romance in Origins, does it carry over into Awakening?
Romances do not carry forward in Awakening, because you are away from your previous life fighting a new threat.

1.8 – Who can I romance in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening?
There are no romances options available in Awakening. The story is focused more on the mission at hand and the new threat to Ferelden."

All I can say is that as a female player wooed into playing my friend's DA specifically because of the character interactions, I really enjoyed the amount of character development they weaved into the game-play and discontinuing the romance aspect of the game or otherwise deciding not to create new ones will take away from the overall experience for me.  Much of the humor and silliness was wrapped up in the "tensions" between the party members. Taking that away seems to promise nothing more than a mundane, hack-and-slash/pew pew pew kind of game and frankly, if I wanted that, I wouldn't have cancelled my WoW account a couple years ago. <_<

Anyway, I was considering spending the extra $$ to buy my own copy in preparation for the expansion, but after seeing their FAQ on it today, my excitement has dropped off a sharp cliff of expectation. EA, my hopes and dreams have been smashed to bits. (jk... but not really). I think I'll just forget about DA for now and hope for a sequel.

I wonder if there are still various ladies of ill repute scattered around. Isabelles and Ionas and such. Just because my Warden doesn't get any romance doesn't mean he doesn't have needs.

No, there aren't...the general opionion is that now as a Grey Warden you have to be a war machine... No more emotions, no more needs, no more feelings.. just kill-recruite,kill-recruite,kill-recruite,kill-recruite,kill-recruite,kill-recruite...
