First of all, sorry if there is already a thread like this, but my internet connections seems to be drunk and the search funtion doesn't work that well..

So, as the title says, tell me what is the best boardgame of all time?

I really enjoyed those classic games, like Space Crusader, Mousetrap, Scotland Yard, but the one game that takes the first place on my list is....*drumroll*.....Hero Quest. That game is totally awesome. ^_^

The one I have enjoyed most over the years is Risk.

I loved playing The Game of Life (not meant as a joke, the actual board game). It was the best when you had a car full of kids and land on the $200,000 salary job.

I enjoyed Life and Monopoly most as a kid. It was one of the few games I could play together with my siblings. Parcheesi was also popular for this reason, as was Clue.

Trouble, hands down. That was the only game that could keep my attention. I think it was the button. Ahh, I have some good memories of that game.

Oh man, too many to remember.

Always liked Life and Clue.

Anyone ever play 13 Dead End Drive? The game took like 2 hours to set up, but man, it is super fun.

Some of my favourite underrated boardgames were Dynamite and Heroes Quest. If you never played Heroes Quest, track it down!

I played 13 Dead End Drive, but we lost some piece after we played once, so we couldn't really play it after that.

Scotland Yard I remember fondly, as I do Stop Thief and Stratego.

I never got to play much Risk, but I liked it.

I'm into way more complicated board games now, though. I've only played it once, but I really enjoyed Settlers of Cataan. I also really like the Order of the Stick board game and, of course, Betrayal at House on the Hill.

One I've not gotten to play but really want to (I've seen others play it) is Zombies!!!

Diplomacy is pretty great if you enjoy spending your time fantasizing about killing all your friends.

I also enjoyed how frustrated everyone I play at Blokus becomes when I box them in.

But no doubt, my favorite board game ever is Settlers of Cataan, a 3-hour game in which the primary objective is to get more sheep than anyone else at the table.

I keep seeing Arkham Horror at this board game night I've starting going to on Thursdays.  I was told it's a LONG game, but I think I'll try and get a session going this week.

Arkham is definately worth a go if you can get enough peope together for it for long enough.   I sometimes do that on the weekends instead of having an RP session.

As a kid, my favorite was the game of Life, and I still enjoy playing it, especially with my kids. There was one time I played with my dad and sisters when we were growing up, and my sister landed on every single child square possible.  We were stacking pegs in the car sideways, she had so many.

When I was in college, I started playing Dungeons and Dragons with my buddies, and that was a blast. My favorite one now, however, is an old Avalon Hill game called Kingmaker. It recreates the War of the Roses, and your goal is to dominate all of England and get rid of all the other heirs. I've played that game all night with friends--it can go on for hours. Good times. :D

Careers is fun if you get a group of cut throat people.

Balderdash can be a very very fun game if you have 4 or 5 people playing it.
