I know this has probably been asked a few times but i dont feel like looking threw all the old post.  If i chose to romance miranda in this one but i picked liara in the first one will it have any effect at all

They said there will be a negative effect but then again they said the ME1 LIs would matter in ME2 also and we saw what that was like.

ok i thought i read in one blog where someone stated that the devolopers did say that they were going to make something happens. But i think a miranda liara biotic showdown would be sweet

From what the writers said. Yes, there is consequences. But a lot of players feel that the way ME1 LI were in presented in ME2, had them decide their Shepard would want to move on. The most common reason not trusting him anymore or not coming with him or her for the most important mission in his life. Okay maybe you don't want your LI coming, but finding warmth in their arms would be nice, but don't get that either. So for them, it is more like falling out or moving on, than outright cheating. Should still have its own consequences, but should not automatically be the same.

We will only find out in ME3 what said consequences will be and what a "cheating" or "moved on" will have, and what a celibate Shepard will have. All that is confirmed is having a ME1 LI and then going with a Mass Effect 2 LI will have an impact.

I believe you are correct Madecologist i did kind of feel the way that iw anted my male shepard to move on But then as i thought about it more i felt kinda bad because i wanted my relationship to span across all 3 stories so im going back again to beat it and stay dedicated(hopefully). However if they are just going to keep liara as a simple non exisint factor i will be severly ticked. I dont want miranda getting the same treatment as liara did so i guess we will see

Lets put it this way. You cheat, interesting, you don't interesting. You didn't have love interest in ME 1 and decided to have someone else in ME 2. Will still be interesting mostly to see if you develop and actual relationshiop. Very interesting. Now cheating on ashley with Tali sense ashley hates aliens BAD Azz!

Also another good Idea for cheating. Is You romance is your a femshep and you romance kaiden and liara then in ME 2 you cheat with thane. Well its not goin to matter because the drell will be dead by ME 3. See you get away scot free! hehe.

I want to see them fight it out personally. I can just see my Shep leaning back watching the girls fight over him with a evil smirk on his face.

I think Liara could beat Miranda and Tali but I think Jack could beat Liara. Before the Liara fans jump remember Liara is a very young asari and Jack is the most powerful known human biotic

Perhaps my Shep's LIs could just... learn from each other? I mean Miranda has him physically inside out while putting him together and Liara, well she has seen his mind inside out. Just think of the possibilities. You could have endless stream of Shepards.

Nah, she'll hit you with a biotic feild so strong that all that remains will go into a coffee cup.  And then she'll add some sugar and some milk and drink you up.  Much like what she's gonna do with the Shadow Broker.

Ugh...I cringed so hard when she said that. I really hope the writers intended for Liara to sound like an idiot.

I've got one where they cheat and the person they cheated with lives and one where they cheat and the person they had LI in ME2 with dies in the suicide mission, also got a couple of them that stayed loyal just to see if there is a difference amongst them all



As for Liara, she'll flay you with her mind!

Im sure there will be some sort of "reprocussions" for cheating on your ME1 LI (if you had one) but nothing that is going to keep you from completing the mission successfully.  Meaning, yes, there may be something "negative" from it but it'll be minor at best.

There is no Liara romance. There never was a Liara romance. The devs might have the deranged asari on Ilium, the one who keeps blathering on about the Shadow Keeper, accuse you of some such. Act like you would with other mental cases, such as Conrad Verner or the "Biotic God".

Do people really think Liara can crush Shepard into a coffee cup? Seriously, if a fight broke out between the two, it will like... you know.. last 3 seconds. Trust me.. Liara is not the one that will win. I think people make this misconception that Biotics=win. If Shepard was such a push over he won't be the leader of the squad in both games, defeat Mechano-Saren, and survive the Suicide Mission (and leaving no one behind possiblely).

Great I am now arguing how Shepard would paste Liara... I am gonna curl up into a ball and go cry now....
