I think everyone noticed already that Jacob and Miranda have 1 more Squad Point then every other Squad Member. The reason why is pretty logical so that you can use a wider variety of skills early on and can show the player how to use pull or overload. On the other side you have 9 other Squad Members where you are kinda forced to max out the Bonus Ability since you get the 30th Squad Point set into it automatically after their loyalty mission. So what you can do is max out 2 Abilities and spend the other 9 points in a third ability without getting its last stage or go for the bonus ability.

So what i ask you for, either of them would be fine for me:

- give us a way to retrain powers of the Squad Members (research?)
- give us the 30th Squad Points from the start to distribute them like we want to
- give us the 30th Squad Point after their loyalty mission but don't auto set it into their bonus ability.
- give every Squad Member like Jacob and Miranda 31 Squad Points total.

I'd vote for the 31 point option but I can get by the way things are anyway so it's not a HUGE deal for me.

Don't get me wrong i played through Mass Effect 2 already 2 times on insanity and hardcore. But I don't feel like using several Squad Members because i can't use them like i want to. Also i don't like to be forced to use the Bonus Abilities. One Thing i like most about RPGs is that you can chose how to do things, especially skilling your Characters. But you can't skill them how you like ...

Signed. I HATE some squad mates' loyalty powers. The automatic point prevents me from getting three maxed out skills on many mates.

I support those two solutions, i think they will work best in game and be easiest to code, meaning they are most likely to happen.

Maybe just make the "Undo Talent Points" button actually cause a respec.

I personally don't want it that way, i could respec during the mission. I think the player should do some thinking how to spend points and not be able to adjust them all the time.

The "Undo Talent Points" button resets the points u spend a second ago. It does work, just not how most people think it does.

In the meantime, here's a DIY option to work around that:

Download Gibbed's SaveGameEditor (http://mod.gib.me/ma...eedit_rev25.zip) and open the savegame you want to edit. In the 'Raw' tab go to the 'Henchmen' list and add the desired number of talent points.

:-)

I personally don't like doing that because it's not intended by the developers. I want with my request to ask the developers for their opinion and hope that they "patch" something ingame. But thanks for mentioning it, maybe others want to use it. ;)

Are there more people who agree with me? Maybe a reply by Bioware? :innocent:

These two are a must. The first is an issue that should've been painfully obvious the first time around. I prefer to have my games without respec (I find it stupid and nonsensical) but the fact of the matter is that it's extremely easy to mess up your choices in ME2 unless you think many, many levels ahead, and the point distribution (at what levels and how you or your squaddies recieve points, and how many) appears nearly random; making this hard.

Since this is an obvious issue that the devs saw and added the respec option for Shepard to compensate, it's mindboggling that they didn't see the same issue with the squaddies.

The second is an obvious bug and should be fixed.
