You realize that who is and isn't in ME3 depends on who survived the suicide mission in ME2 right? So if you kept Jack alive, she'll be there.

I agree. Here's hoping bioware aren't stupid enough to not bring back our beloved squadmates from both ME 1 & 2. And they still have to make up for what they did with most of the ME 1 cast.

That depends maybe you will have people from the ME2 (maybe even the others from ME1) but don't count Bioware out of pulling a tricks to change what we think how ME3 will be done. I could even be we don't even play as Shepard in the off chance Shepard died in ME2, or possibly some of the characters leave like Grunt possibly going to Tuchanka, or Jack leaving to hunt down other Cerberus cells. But SandTrout is right for the most part, it'll depend on who lived and (hopefully) how you interacted with your team mates.

I definitely sympathize with the OP. I'm not going to be happy if ME3 forces a bunch of new squad mates on us.



And Jack is one of the best ME2 squad mates, so it would suck if she's not around in ME3.

Every squad mate that survived ME2 will appear in ME3 at least as a cameo (except maybe Thane)

If one LI is recruitable they all are (again except maybe Thane)

Considering how maybe people will be pissed if Tali/Liara aren't recruitable, I'd say there's a good chance that all LIs will be recruitable (unless BioWare chooses the easy way again, and makes only those that can't die recruitable meaning only Liara)

But Shephards going to be in it even if he dies on your saved file, so why would they kill off the other characters? IMO only Wrex and Kaiden/Ash will not be back, depending on whether you saved them back in ME1.

yeh something i've been thinking about is we obviously want as many people back for ME3 as possible.

Now if Bioware decides to be lazy we may see a few people as npc roles instead but its been stated more than once that your squad from ME1 will reunite at somepoint maybe with the exception of wrex.

Now heres an interesting thought regardless of how many people may or may not make a return we can bank on the fact that those of us who stayed loyal in ME2 will be rewarded come ME3 when our original LI join us. Perhaps even if most of the ME2 squad is made into cameos (god i hope not) if you chose another Li in ME2 they may stick around for ****s and giggles.

Shepard dying isn't canon and you can't import a save where he/she dies

The reason why your ME1 LI wasn't recruitable in ME2 was because BioWare would have to make 3 different squad mates from which you can recruit one (like in KOTOR2), but BioWare was too lazy to make so much content (they choose the easier and less expensive path)

Since everyone can potentially die in ME2, there's some concern to how much effort BioWare will put in making your choices matter (judging by ME2 and other BioWare games, none, 'cos there's always little or no consequences to your choices)

Totally agree. It gives Bioware a chance to make even better and more interesting characters while keeping the game/mass effect universe fresh.
