What means is that it's work they don't have time, or desire, to do. They would have to make new models for all the DLC armor to create versions without the helmet on, as the whole outfit is one solid piece.

Yeah I never used any of the bonus armors because of that. Pity.
Yup same. The bonus armors were a complete waste of time because of the perma-helm.
But the N7 customizable armor made up for it so no great loss.

Well that was the other factor: the N7 armor was just really well done.

Maybe some of you should just try playing with a helmet. I assure you, its nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
I'm guessing you never tried to go out drinking wearing it. Let alone getting a kiss from Gianna Passari.
Its exactly as bad as everyone says.

I have beaten this game twice allready on my male shepard and all I have left to do on my Femshep is the suicide mission. I have also started my insanity playthrough. I assure you, I have done everything there is to do. For the first two playthroughs I only wore the eyepiece that gives you a bonus to headshots. Now I wear the recon mask and honestly, the kiss, and the drinking really does not bother me.
What point is there in drinking other than that one short sidequest on Omega? Sure there are some giggles to be had on the citadel but other than that there is absolutely no point.
It is nowhere near as bad as everyone says. They speak about it as if gamebreaking. It is only gamebreaking if you allow it to be.

That's reminds me of a comic someone did where Shepard gets a drink in Darkstar wearing Blood Dragon Armor. He splashed it all over his face!Cutlass Jack wrote...

Was exactly what I was thinking of, but couldn't remember the link for it.

No, joking aside, it really is that bad. Its a roleplaying game at heart. And you lose quite a bit in nearly every conversation without seeing Shepard's reactions as he/she talks.
If all I wanted to do is shoot things without seeing my face, there's plenty of games that cover that niche nicely.

I must be playing this game wrong, I assumed I was supposed to be looking at my enemies rather than my Shepards face.
Edit: Actually, say what ever you will. It only bothers you because you let it. I guess I am in the minority that can over look such a minor detail. I don't care if you want to be part of the masses that scream and whine for hours on a forum because of 5 seconds in the game where Shepard has a mask on and takes a drink or whatever. I have more important things to do than argue with someone who will let something so small and trivial upset them.
