So last night i beat the game for the first time, but the scene right before you go up to the second floor in Fort Drakon you come up to a room with a massive quantity of bodies laying all over the floor with blood everywhere. Yet there is a small, very familar figure standing in the middle of the corpses. It's Sandal, Bodahn Feddic's little dwarven son. When you confront him and asks him what happened, he just looks up with his blood covered face and replies, "Enchantment?"
WTF! The little dude creeped me out and I dont know what to make of what happened with all the darkspawn bodies surrounding him!!!!!
Please post your ideas below with what you think happened.

What he lacks in intelligence, he make up for in raw physical power. He ripped through those darkspawn with his bare hands, after they killed Bodahn for price-gouging.

Sandal is magic ; )

He enchanted them to death, he would've enchanted the Archdemon too if you didn't beat him to it.

I bet he was Duncan all along. He didnt want to show himself yet. But couldnt left Warden alone with his superior Enchantment power.

When I gave him ''Duncan's Sword'' for enchantment, I saw a tear droped from his cheek but thats it. Emotional moment *sadpanda*

It's very much known that the smallest, almost most insignificant beings in the world are actually the strongest ones. Look at the ants, animals with the capacity of carrying what, 40 times their weight? Think what a 10 feet long ant could do to the world.

Still, the capacity of enchanting is somehow rare and very dangerous, is it not? I mean, Sandal enjoys it and will do it for free, and I guess that gave him also the power to kill all those darkspawn... he enjoyed it. My guess is that he can become enraged with fury should something happen to someone dear to him. Assuming Bodahn was there (for no reason actually) and he died in front of Sandal's eyes, would this give him the power? From his story, Bodahn appears as a good father to the little boy.

Second guess? Remember the time when you first meet Bodahn and Sandal? The dad says "Sandal don't touch them!" obviously leading us to think touching darkspawn is dangerous and poisonous. But we must remember that the region was crawling with templars. What if with a single touch Sandal could have blasted those darkspawn off in front of your PC's eyes? Would the templars react? What would happen in that example?

Third assumption : BioWare is teasing us and Sandal is nothing special. Still, I will check his description in the toolset. It might lead to something...

Before or after its exoskeleton collapsed due to its own weight?

And this is in the "Awakening" section of the forum why exactly?

(not even going to ask why we need another thread when putting Sandal in the search function would have been enough)

He's a savant...as per the story.   He may come off as "mentally challenged" but there is also genius talent there..pretty much the meaning of "savant" as applied here.

Room full of dead ogres and other darkspawn.    You ask him what happened..and he says Enchantment!

Sandal is my hero.  lol   I am guessing that we'll never find out how he did that...hahaha

Now THAT would be interesting.
I really hope we see more of Sandal, at least in DA2 if not in Origins.

Sandal is Duncan's bastard son.

Duncan decided to keep him a secret after he showed him up at huge battle.

I'm not coming up with anything... is it something that references one of the old BG games?  It's been a very long time since I played them.
