Hi All,
I just finished playing ME1 for the first time last night (I know im 3 years late) and had a quick question -- I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find a definitive response. I beat the game on lvl 46, but still didn't play BDtS or Pinnacle Station -- I assumed that once you finished the game you could go back to the bridge of the ship and use the map -- sadly the game just ends. I want to level up to 50 and play the remaining DLC quests, and then want to transfer the save file to ME2, but dont want to replay the whole game again. Will ME2 take the save file and recognize all of the quests/interactions I already completed, or will replaying with the same profile and not going all the way through effectively wipe out all of the work I had done, and when I run into Conrad Verner in ME2, he wont even know who I am? I am afraid to create a new save file with my previously finished game because when I tried to save it on a new play through with that original profile, it was displaying the saves I had already completed on my first playthrough, not a new list of them. Basically I just want to be sure that when I play part 2, that all the interactions I had in one can be carried over and impact the story in 2. Thanks for your help!
A Question about replaying a saved file

When you have multiple playthroughs with the same character, you can choose which one to import (a separate end save is made every time you complete the game). Only the choices made during that playthrough will impact ME2.

Why did you post the same thread on two different boards?

You best bet is to go back to a save before you went to Ilos, and then do BDtS and just replay the end (it doesn't take long). BDtS has some effects on ME2. I don't know how major as I just started myself, but there are some fun little things I've taken notice of already. I don't believe PS has any effect on ME2 though. So you're safe skipping that one.

Only a news report, nothing more.

I dont get it. On the other board, they are saying that previous choices wont register, here everyone is they will:

If you go through another playthrough, you'll have to do everything again. Previous choices don't register.
This.
It is 'fixed' with Mass Effect 2 where you can continue post-ending though. But a 'new game plus' resets all your choices as it were.
Which one is it?

New Game + resets all your choices in ME 1 so your character running through ME 1 will have to do everything over because it doesn't register the choices you made in your previous playthrough.
In ME2 you can load either the first playthrough's end save or the second and the choices you made register with that. So say you have one character playthrough full Paragon and do a second playthrough full Renegade you can load either playthrough into ME2 you aren't stuck with the last one.

DPSSOC & Dethateer,
It seems like both of you are incorrect, I've gotten responses that say that it saves everything as of the last finished game and takes that for the save file for ME2. Anything done beyond that isn't saved (ie if you dont even the game). Is that what you guys meant to say?

Ok just reread your first post (admittedly skimmed it the 1st time) and just need the check that I understand what you're asking.
You've beaten the game and want to know if there's a way you can start a new playthrough, do what you missed in the last game and then import the character into ME2 without finishing the second playthrough. Is this correct or have I misread your post?

Yes, that is correct. Basically I just want to make sure that what it imports is the file where I actually did all the interactions with the characters, basically that it takes the finished file, not the in progress file.

Ok then short answer you can't do that (far as I know).
It will take the finished file but that will only include what you did that playthrough. For example say I finish a playthrough at 50 and left out BDtS, then on a New Game + I just play BDtS then import to ME2 my import will be the one that doesn't include BDtS.
Now if I finish my second playthrough where I complete BDtS at 60 I will then have two imports for ME2 the lvl 50 playthrough where I didn't complete BDtS and the lvl 60 import where I did.
