I used the Cerberus armor for one of my playthroughs because it fit the story I created in my head. For that playthrough, my Shepard was very happy to be part of Cerberus. Also, the Cerberus visor is pretty transparent so you don't have to completely suspend belief that people will recognize you.

The DLC armor looks great and has good stats. All Bioware needs to do is patch the game to realize that somebody can't recognize my face or kiss me because I'm wearing a helmet like a sensible person and then we're golden.

Oh, and civvies on the Citadel and Illium and armor for my Pajama Commando™ squad members. Nao.

I don't use them. Look rubbish compared to n7, and yes, no helm toggle = fail.

I liked the look of the Blood Dragon armour, and I could get over wearing the helmet during conversations.

Although it did feel a bit weird when people recognised me under that thing.

Despite the missing toggle option I used the Cerberus and the Collector armor each for a mission. And I was really relieved to see that the visor of ther cerberus ist quite useable because you can at leas shepard's face.

I use all the armors, though I'm not sure I'm going to use Inferno armor beyond Zaeed's mission. I find it to be rather ugly. However, if I'm doing side quests, missions with low atmosphere, or basically anything that requires you to be armored up. I do indeed use the DLC, and it was very satisfying to use the Collector armor on a Collector ship, very cool.

I have:

Cerberus, Inferno, Collector, Blood Dragon.

I don't use any of them. I like the customization options offered with standard N7 armor (I like the visor that goes over one eye that you pick up in... I think it's Omega) and I just don't really like the look of the DLC/bonus armors.

There's also the Helmet Toggle thing, but as I don't use the DLC/bonus armors it's not overly important to me.

Same story. I dun like walking around Illium and meeting up with old friends with a bucket on my head.
I like the look of the Blood Dragon Armor and would wear it just for its aesthetic if helmets were able to be toggled.
But yeah, despite having every single DLC equipment out so far (Image IPB), I only ever use the Incisor Sniper Rifle on my snipy squaddies and Eviscerator Shottie on those who use shotties.
Everything else just collects dust.

DLC armours don't come in neon pink with green stripes, nor blue on grey camouflage. And I like how the seperate non-DLC armour parts give better customization options for what bonusses I want as well. The lack of helmet toggle is the final nail in the DLC coffin, even if I rarely do so, not even for RP.

I use the Terminus armor starting with Tali's loyalty mission and through the rest of the game because it looks cool. Up until then, I use the N7 armor. I might give the Cerberus armor a try sometime, but I would really like to have a helmet toggle or have the Terminus visor depolarize so people can see Shepard's face.

I used them on some, particularly if I knew I was going into a situation where I would be wearing a helmet anyway. In general, though, I missed the toggle/DA:O pop off for dialogue features.

Does anyone know if wearing the Collector armor when you visit that scared Quarian at the beginning of the game prompts a response from him?

Same. I mostly use the Cerberus armor because you could see Shep's face. The only time I used the N7 armor was when I went to Illium to meet Liara (my LI in ME1).

My first run was as a soldier using the N7 armor. My current run is an infiltrator using the Terminus Armor.

I don't know about a helmet toggle like in ME1 but having it disappear during dialogue then reappear when done would be enough for me.

As an adept, the Blood Dragon Armor is pretty cool stats-wise, and I like the look of it.

But no helmet toggle : To hell the Blood Dragon Armor.

Put me down with the others who wont use them because of the helmet.

I do use the Dr Pepper Recon Hood for certain missions that i think it would fit... but usually its the +10 headshot visor, or the Sentry visor.

Same.. I've got the Collector's Armor, Blood Dragon Armor, Terminus Armor, Inferno Armor and now the Cerberus Armor but since, atleast for the first playthroughs, I want to see the facial expression in the talkings, and since the helmet can't be removed atleast for those, I'm not using them, yet..
