Nope, no helmet toggle = worse than useless.
Armor DLC: Does anyone actually use them?

I only used the dragon age armor once during a whole play through with strict paragon decisions, other than that one play through no. I don't use the dlc armors because they aren't customizable. However, if the DA: Origins armor were to return in ME 3 with customizations like removing the face plate section only and changing it's color and removing the dragon logo aww man (drooling).

I use the recon hood when I'm doing missions as anything other than an infiltrator or a soldier. When I'm on those classes, I use visor for headshot pwnage. If I could have anything though, I would want a DLC armour that would let you have 125% or even 150% speed bonus(not just storm speed, I mean running speed).

I have used the armors and like them under certain situations but like everyone else, i wish there were helmet toggling and more custom options (color schemes and n7 variety)

yeah I didn't understand why the dlc armors were not customizable, it's a letdown, hopefully they can patch it to where you can

Really, the DLC armors ought to have been matching sets of gear. I.e, a helmet, chestplate, greaves, etc. , with the bonuses divvied up amongst the pieces. Sure, maybe they'd look a bit different than now, but so what?

It's funny, because at first I thought you'd be able to mix-and-match your DLC armor with the regular armor, and I was always struck by how amazingly stupid it would look. I mean, sure, maybe if you wanted Shepard to look like he just walked out of a junk heap, but who wants to roleplay a kid who stumbles out of bed and touches whatever he touches first in his clothes bin? It would be almost as bad as roleplaying a soldier without a proper helmet on!

since the cerberus armor is a fixed set i dont use it. I would rather have more armor parts as a DLC

I really like the terminus armor, but I don't think I'll use it through my first playthrough- only because there's no helmet toggle option. But if I run across an N7 mission where it seems appropriate I might whip it out. (Doesn't seem like there's much dialog in those anyway)
Now in a spec'd out NG+ I might use it just for fun

I don't like wearing a helmet so no.

Never used them because of the helmet toggle complaint. But also, that you couldn't upgrade them any further with the purchased upgrades anyway.

I love the Recon hood on my male shep. it looks super badass.
as for armor DLC, my opinion isn't worth a new thread but I will vent on your thread. I am so sick of hearing about people complaining over helmet toggle.
here is the thing, if N7 armor didn't allow you to remove the helmet, i would be equally or more furious than everyone else. because n7 armor is the standard armor, i accept that DLC armor is a unique feature.
i don't know why people are complaining so much about dlc armor, its just so annoying to me. anyway, this post isn't supposed to be positive or create any solutions. i wish people would just shut up and use n7 armor or stop whining. one big fat mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I think you were never interrested in playing a Kender in a Dragonlance setting then? Since that's exactly how one would get dressed in the morning (even if the clothesbin wasn't technically his own in the first place). But rest asured, thousands of people enjoyed playing just that! So yes, more mix & match is actually better. If you go for looks, then wear matching parts. If you don't care, than pick whatever parts you fancy.Grand_Commander13 wrote...

No and for the same reason as everybody else. I want to be able to remove the helmet. With a game that depends so much on story I want to be able to see the face of Shepard during conversations and cut scenes.
