I thought it was an interesting idea that during the Normandy Crash site mission, you actaully have a few options as to where to place the monument, I was just wondering where people placed it, and if they had any reason for that choice.
I always placed it next the section of the hull with the ship name on it, it just seemed the most appropriate.
Where did you put the SR1 Monument, and why?

Mixed between the Mako and Pressly's datapad/galaxy map.

I put it in front of the word 'Normandy' myself.
But you can revisit and change your mind if you want. However I'm still appalled that the Alliance never sent anyone there in the last two years to reclaim the bodies of those who died. Nevermind recovering the unique technology that went into that ship.

I'm with Cutlass, putting it next to the part that said Normandy just felt the most appropriate.

mako for me because it held the most memorys of my time on the sr1 although the hull near the ice cliff was a close second

Right next to "Normandy" but maybe the spirit of Normandy would have been served better if it could be closer to Pressly's datapad. If that could have been preserved as part of the memorial then even better.

Like the fact that Admiral Hackett sends an e-mail to you asking you to put up the monument while you're basically still dead?magicalpoop wrote...

I put it near Pressly's datapad, but the 'NORMANDY' text is also a close second. It's always difficult to choose. I hope the crash site comes up or gets a mention in ME3

I've put it in various positons, in front of the Normandy text, in front of the mako, at presslys datapad and at the section where you get the flashback of either Kaidan or Ashley.

Well, it's not supposed to be right the begining of mass effect, if you had gotten the actual download like halfway through the game, then it would have made more sense, cause the alliance realizes your alive by then, at least most random people from your past seem to....

I put it in front of the Mako, so the wreck surrounded the viewer... plenty of space to mill about and contemplate the ship that once was. Ok, I know, it's a crash site not an art gallery, but I was going for impact (no pun intended)
I would like to think that Shep took Presley's datapad and put it on the monument plinth, so the spirit of what the Normandy was could be seen be anyone not wanting to poke about in the guts of a dead spacecraft.

I put it in front of the cockpit, where I had my last few moments of breath, where Pressily died, and that unnamed ensign whom you might be able to guess her name by looking at the dog tags, but in all likelyhood her death was already confirmed, and body brought onto an escape shuttle?

I put it near the Normandy hull. That name really stands for a legend.
And after seeing the Mako sitting there awfully intact, I was hoping I could recover it. Next time I come around I will bring some shovels and a transport Shuttle.
