Please share your strat, team make up etc. This is by far the most difficult to beat without turning down the difficulty level to casual, Shep= level 40 something soldier. Thanks for sharing.

If you're playing on Hardcore or Insanity, you might as well bump the difficulty level down. Pinnacle Station is practically impossible on those levels.

I've only seen a handful of people even claim that they've done the volcanic and tropical hunt missions on insanity. I actually did the volcanic one after about 15 tries on insanity after reading someone's tip to leave your squad by the barricades between the two bunkers while you make the rounds to make sure the spawns keep coming.
I found no effective way to get beyond 47 kills on the tropical map. It's not that I can't kill fast enough, it's that the spawns dry up right then. I've hit 47 kills with 10 seconds left several times and there are only 3 enemies left at the farthest points possible. I have not found a way to keep the spawns coming . When I did in on normal difficulty, I still barely made it. Even though I was one shoting most of the troops, the spawns died out at 47 and I had to wait around 10 seconds before they started pouring in again... which burned through my remaining time and I only got 5 more kills before time ran out. It's that spawn pause after 47 that makes it so damn hard. Really lame.
In retrospect I think if I had Ash around, I could have parked Ash and Wrex in different spots with thier immunity spam so they could keep spawns coming in two different spots without dying. But I left Ash on Virmire on that game. So I was using Wrex and Garrus for maximum firepower. Som people claim biotics are the way to di this one, but I was a Vangard and found my tungsten shotty to be the best tool. I threw the destroyers because they are tougher, but I could charge around nonstop firing my shotty taking everything down in 3 shots with the occasional throw or lift. The squaddies do a really poor job of killing anything on the tropical map because of all the angles and cover, so switching them to auto use powers might help, which I didn't try.

I just BARELY squeaked by Pinnacle Station on Veteran. I find the entire DLC more annoying than fun, to be honest. For my Hardcore game, I just gave my entire party the Geth Supergun, and blew my way through the matches. (Although I did complete Ahern's mission on Hardcore normally).

For general tips, all I can really recommend is to give your party the best gear you can afford (I wouldn't use anything lower than Spectre VII gear. Get X if you have access to it), outfit them with Tungsten/Shredder rounds based on the enemies in the map, and bring at least one Biotic. In most levels, you can quickly finish off large groups of enemies by Throwing them off the edge of the map, Lifting them so they float out of range etc. I also recommend bringing Ashley and/or Wrex for Survival maps, because they can take a LOT of punishment with Immunity.

I completed everything on my level 60 vanguard on insanity pretty easy. The timed runs where strict though. But once you get them to spawn where you want them its easy. Also having singularity as extra talent helped a lot, Wrex and Garrus has no problem to shoot down spinning mobs (i used Wrex for a extra warp, Ashley is better if you don't warp the targets).

Are you sure you weren't a victim of the difficult reset bug? Even the few others I have seen claim this, none said Tropical Hunt was pretty easy.

And how did you get them to spawn where you want in appropriate numbers for the Tropical Hunt?

I also used Wrex and Garrus on the Tropical Hunt, and they could hardly kill a thing on their own if I left them somewhere (as I previously describet. And if they tagged along with me they only barely improved the speed at which I killed on my own (probably causing every 3rd geth to go down in 2 shots instead of 3). So how did you get them to be so effective for you?

And did you experience the same spawn gap at 47 kills as I do?

And my apologies to the OP for jacking this thread. But like you, I have found insufficient answers for how this can be done.

I just though I'd give this thread one more chance. I'd still like to see a detailed explanation of how this is done without relying on pure luck (IE you can do it at least 1/3 of the time reliably, preferably 1/2 the time).

I played through as sentinel but as far as ive learned with my class.

Survival/hunt: putting Wrex and liara well geared in Survivals and hunt worked well for me as they can allow you to survive massive pulls, i dropped out in the survival after hitting 20min then i got bored and let them kill me to finish it.

Time trial and capture: i used Garrus alot since he as good offensive powers aswell as fire powers, then i took Ashley aswell since most the time you just need them to drop fast and these 2 worked well for me for that purpose.

Id advice for time trial and capture to get familiar with the sprint but keep check with barameters if you get exhausted it take to long to move up in speed again, so be sure you have a little over 1/3 of you fatigue cooldown still before pressing shift again.

Lastly this i blame on poor game design dont ever leave the sqaurd members to hold a flag for capture since for some odd reason it wont let you capture if you not present at the point which i find a bit silly personally, since it sells out a bit on the point of sqaurd tactics.

EDIT: for last mission id surgest getting close to the turret as quick as you can after first objective since it gives you a edge, and use Liara's Throw and lift to pacify to many getting close, Wrex warp and use of Shield damager from electronic rather useful aswell to kill them off fast.

I did it with a vanguard, couldn't do it on low levels but came back as level 50-something and it worked out after a few tries.

In both hunt tropical and volcanic(?) the hard thing is enemies spawning in locations it takes time to reach. I never managed to make much sense of the spawning mechanics except that it's random to a degree and enemies don't spawn close to your current position, but there's definitely a bit of luck involved. I had a lot of success throwing enemies at the boundaries or lifting them either to be shot by my squadmates or to get too high and die automatically, this is particularly necessary on the tropical level but also useful on the volcanic for picking off enemies on the walkways (way out of shotgun range).

Your squadmates should have the ability to use a sniper or assault rifle (with good skills obv.). Wrex, Garrus and Ashley all worked well for me.

Captures, survivals, and hunts were easy wins for me on standard (sentinel/commando with Liara and Wrex)--but I cannot beat the time trials. On the warehouse, my fastest time is 1:30, so I need another 10 seconds somehow. It's like you almost need all one shot kills, but the sniper rifle isn't an option. *sigh*

Holy crap I thought it was just me. I tried to get these achievements this weekend with my Hardcore engineer. I was going to go back and try it once I got to a higher level and spectre gear ha ha. I was a level 28 engineer and I got throught the survival and capture no problem, but hunt and time trial SUCKED! I just left the station after getting the first achievement and will probably try on a different career on a lower difficulty some other time.

I can help with the time trials. Just play it a cuple time to know where the spawns pop up and and then you can go from spawn point to point. Usually you can get to each one before or as the baddies phase in. Just rush them. Shotguns are great, point blank on an enemy phsing in will often put him down instantly. The enemies are very bad about actually attacking you and focus on hding. So it important to get to those spawn point before they have a chance to scatter, and you shouldn't have to worry too much about taking damage. Do not stop to take cover though or you will run out of time.

Which one of the rewards (pistol, shotgun, sniper rifle, etc) has the best stats?

The item you get depends on your level, but they tend to be among the top tier of manufacturers (Kassa Fabrication, Armax Arsenal etc.) You don't get any Spectre weapons from him though, as far as I'm aware of.

Like numerous others who have posted, the time trials gave me the most trouble. Tropic took me several dozen attempts, as did the warehouse, and I still have yet to beat the volcanic time trial.
What worked for me was prepositioning my teammates. Not really true prepositioning, per se, but pausing, and sending them to certain areas for certain spawns; I directed them to certain areas before the mercenaries began to spawn. In the warehouse, though, I did implement some true prepositioning with Garrus. On one playthrough, the benefits weren't even intended, but it worked amazingly:
Just as the trial was starting, I sent him into the area on the far end of the general spawn area that spawns two mercenaries. Just to clarify, he was in the second to last spawn area, where the mercenaries are up on the crates. By the time Ashley and I had cleared the second spawn and arrived at the third spawn area, Garrus was just finishing off the last guy on the ground, and the mercenaries were just spawning on top of the crates. Sadly, the one mercenary up there that's always the toughest to kill prevented me from making good enough time.

On the volcanic level, I'm finding that biotics are a wise choice, as well as strategic teammate positioning.

So far, the best I've been able to do is 2:30, which was on my first attempt, if I remember correctly. Sadly. it was just a fluke, since my times only got worse from there, until I changed up my squad and my tactics.
