They added allot of flair to side missions plus it made each seem more alive like the one where you dealt with Major Kyle and depending upon how you deal with the situation Adm Hackett would give you a different impression of how your mission being successful.

I want to see The Illusive Man and Admiral Hackett get into a verbal argument over the future of humanity, preferably with air quotes involved.

I don't have many gripes about this game, however, I do sorely miss Admiral Hackett.

The VA was superb.

I personally, would like some word from Bioware, why Adm. Hackett was not included.

These, and the 'staff meetings' after major planets are sorely missed from the first game. It's a shame there's no real equivalent (and emails don't count).

Maybe in ME3, we'll regain Alliance ties, and they can start sending us on errands again. :D

He gave us a galactic grocery list, but he did listen to Joker & saved our butts at the end of ME1; plus I would like to know what he looks like.

I agree, I want Lance Henriksen back. The only person with a cooler voice than Lance Henriksen is Keith David and he wasn't in this game enough either.

Kudos to Martin Sheen though. He was great.

Oh dangit anyways,.........That's why there's no Adm. Hackett, because we aren't alliance for this go-round.

Actually lack of transmissions from Alliance is pretty logic since in ME 2 Shepard work whit Cerberus.

But if you say to TIM "You fired" during final mission, then who known maybe Hackett will again drop you extra jobs to do.

*psst Frank Black is Admiral Hackett who is acted by Lance Henriksen*

*Admiral Hackett is a military guy like Captain Anderson*

*Captain Anderson is played by Keith David who is Sgt. Foley in CoD: MW2. He likes to order you around, but can't in ME2, cause he's all Councillor now. So...we get the next best thing.*

Hoo-ah? Hoo-ah.

Definitely, bring Lance back!! ME1 is by default the best game ever because you get to talk to Lance Henriksen!

It's hard to bring back Admiral Hackett for missions when he's working for the Alliance, and Shep is part of Cerberus. I hope he comes back in ME3 though.

*Spoiler*

Hackett is the man, but he is with the Alliance. If you read the e-mail he sends you, he's glad you're alive, but he won't be able to associate with you because of your affiliation with Cerberus.

I really liked the transmissions at the end of side quests and missions versus reading the emails; it just seemed this was yet a small piece that was missing that made ME1 feel like movie more than a game. What I don't understand is why you don't talk to the Illusive Man after each mission or side quests. As the hero of the galaxy according to TIM, even though you are supposed to "hurry" to save the colonists/etc, I don't understand why TIM wouldn't ask you small personal favors, to solve "problems," much like Hackett and ME1.

I would pay to see Hackett take on TIM. That would be epic.

We need Bill Nighy(Davey Jones), to do a big time character in ME3. I think he would be an amazing voice actor. maybe the new mini bad guy of ME3

Even if he's not a team mate, it would be nice to have Hackett as the new XO/Commanding officer, or the strategist involved in mission deployment, and keep Shepard as squad leader. Lance has got that voice that makes some things seem so dark and twisted, but is there to remind you you'll be okay...cause you're the best son of a **** out there for humanity and whole damn universe...

I miss talking to the council just to cut them off mid discussion.  The Illusive Man just wasn't quite the same in that regard, only able to cut him off once at the end, the humor level was lacking by comparison.  Though the I'm sorry I'm getting to much Bull**** on this line was a nice try.
