I'm sorry if this thread isn't supposed to be here, but I didn't know where to put it.

I was thinking about new squadmates for ME3, and one idea beside
playing with the previous set, is to actually
add one of each race as part of the Normandy Crew. Whether it be
possible to play them, I don't know, but surely it would be nice to
have a spectrum of all races aboard if you are an alien friendly
Shepard.

For the "game" system, why not pushing Squads to the next level like on
the last mission. Having Squad where this time Shepard has to
"synchronize their movement". I really enjoyed that mission. We had to
choose a "Fire Leader", why not do it again for the next game ?!

Imagine
getting up Thane, Garrus and Legion together! That would be the
"Perfect Sniper team". Or for better "result" you could just mixed up a
team composed of Miranda, Ashley (if alive) and Jacob.

I certainly would like to play as Garrus or Tali for a mission or two.

Sounds abit like Rainbow Six 3 with the squads and all. I think for the sake of continuity and immersion you shouldnt be able to play and the squad mates. Though I did really enjoy the impression of controlling the entire team during the suicide mission.

i agree that there should be at least some of the other alien species represented on the Normandy. I would think some of them would be best as only crew members, but should still be very interactive (like how Joker is).

i also agree that it would be nice to have some missions where another squad is needed to complete the mission. You could get more use out of some squad members that are good, but aren't used very often because they don't fit in with the player's play style.

It may also be interesting to bring some of these crew members, who are not squad members along for non-combat situations (possibly as a 4th member tag-a-long for the squad) which would give you further interactions, new sidequests, and possibly some bonuses (like a Volus would give bonuses to negotiation at a shop).

please god, no more squad mates, I think we have a possible 16 already to choose from, we don't need more. If you killed your team then you should get stuck with random red shirts because that's all your squad is to you. This is the final act of the trilogy, the culmination of everything that has come before, this is not the time to introduce new chars and try to develop them.

As a devoted follower of Bioware's RPGs,I know the have the time to introduce and develop new characters in the Final Installment. But I agree that that we have enough not only to defeat the Reapers, but to CONQUER THE GALAXY:devil::devil::devil:! What I would like to see though,is female Salarians and Turians (even as plain bystanders) and the ability to control another squad member on his/her personal "loyal" assigment.

P.S. I'm only a lab accident away to become an evil scientist!

In all likelihood we will have an entirely new squad (with some characters, like Liara, returning). I would like to see the crew of the Normandy become more diverse to represent the galactic wide threat represented by the Reapers. A Volus financier, a Hanar merchant, etc.

If I'm working for the council, alliance, or cerberus, why do I need either of those two on my ship?  The diversity of your crew should depend upon your council choice in ME.  I still say no new squad mates, just pull from ME and ME2.

Given choice I'd like to see a blend of old and new squadmates. I guess it depends how much effort bioware cares to invest in characters that some people may never see.

Liara seems an easy one given she's the only squadmate to have survived both games for certain. Ashley and Kaidan wouldn't be too far a stretch either, given one of them always survives ME1. They could fill the same role in the plot with some differing dialogue.

Everyone else may or may not be dead, and several characters have good reasons to gone their own ways (like Wrex ruling his people, if he survived).

I want that squadmates are (near)equal compared to shepardt, like in mass effect 1.

Wrex was even superior compared with a soldier sheaprdt.

Its annoying that this game force you to take one specific squadmember for half of the game because she can strip all defences....

In Mass Effect, even Liara had overload...

But now,the best specialists in the galaxy only have 2 active talents and long cooldown times...

Idiotic.

There's no such person. You can walk onto Omega station, pick up Zaeed, and dump Miranda then and there if you care to. For most missions there are better choices than Miranda, but she is generally capable of doing well in all types of missions.

Only after horizon shepardt have another squadmember that could strip barriers well(if he isnt an adept or sentinel).Yes,reave and warp ammo are an option as bonus talents, but for soldier/infiltrator if prefer amor piercing ammo.

My soldier with warp ammo is doing perfectly fine. Concussive shots are also reasonably effective.

Infraredman > I totally see how this can be in ME3!

I'm for having other alien as Crewmates! but as Squadmates 2 more could not be bad...I guess.

But what I would really like to have implemented is alot more mission like the "last one". Having for instance a Fire Team, that could help during harder mission etc etc..
