You spend 90% of the game running errands for your crew, but you do nothing for yourself. You don't think that, maybe after 2 years Shepherd would need to tie up some loose ends? I think it'd be cool if we got to see some shepherd specific missions based on the background you pick.
What do you guys think
No Shepherd Missions?

Isn't the entire game a "Shepherd Mission"?

This game isn't about Shep, I'll leave it there.

well you don't have to earn your own loyalty i hope.
there are a few background related assignments in ME1 if that's what you consider a "Shepard mission".

I'd love for Shepard to have his own mission. I mean in ME1, depending on the choice of birth and up bringing you had a somewhat personal mission. I wish they did that again.

Shepard belongs to the Galaxy now, only time he has for himself is whatever one of his crew he can seduce. Heck, I didn't even write my mom

Thats why I enjoyed the Normandy Wreck mission. In a game that is mostly made up of fighting, having some calm missions which requires time rather than resources can be a nice change. That mission was in the top three (the IFF reaper and Collector Ship are the other two) purely down to its atmosphere; Cold, Dark, Ghostly, especially with the Aurora dancing overhead.

There is no "I" in Shepard. Seriously, if your a true Shepard Paragon, you are living proof of altruism.

Agreed, that mission was pure mood and it was a great way to put to rest losing the SR1 and your crew from ME1, I would have liked more missions that were for defining Shepard's character in this way. All in all Shep starts feeling a bit static, you're either paragon or renegade there's not much room to evolve the character.
In ME1 there were missions that dealt with Shepards pre-service history, those were very good as they established that Shepard had history, it would have been neat if this time around Shepard ends up at the site of his/her psych profile event. That could be very powerful imo, forcing Shepard to confront the choices s/he made and what s/he endured.

The Normandy mission was boring as ass.
Shepard does need exposition as a character. We need more personalized returns for what we put in: their background, their origin, and especially their class. class based interrupts. Conversations as such. Just like there was in DA:O (being an elf, mage, etc.)
