In one of the loading-screens I read that I will be able to import my ME2-Playthrough into ME3 with the important addition: "...if you survive."

I've got no problem with that in my playthroughs.

But what will be imported?
Just the save when I killed the collectors with all sidequests I've done until then?
Or can I also import a later save with the sidequests I've done after the suicide-mission?

Any save you made after you survival the collector's base can be imported I think.

DLC characters will be the last to carry on to the next game, methinks.

Yep.  At least that how it works when starting a NG+ playthrough.  I'm sure that's how it will work for ME3.

I'm pretty ME3 will use the same loading system that ME2 uses for importing an ME2 character.

Your most recent manual, auto or mission start post collector base.
