This thread is for all those who find the Love interest topics in these forums a little disturbing and for all those who actually have real life human-human relationships.

Interspecies fans (real life:sick: or otherwise:o) need not apply.  Just for the hell of it!

I'd join, but I'm not really into the kumbaya hand-holding bond-forming self-help groups.

Good luck trol... er... succeeding in your non-game-related thread, though.

No surprise there.  Based on the majority of posts I see on these forums you are not alone I'm sure.

So you're telling me I can't actually meet Kaiden Alenko? What? He's not real? Oh, my life is over...

Playing Mass Effect 2 is Great fun.....but obsessing about a relationship with a character created for the game is just bizarre.  Not to mention such a minor aspect of the game overall.  There's some game content for yah.

Me too and I don't surf the net looking for or producing scantily clad images of Tali and the like.

One would have to question your "real-life" human on human relationships, when a few peoples interest in the game characters makes you want to start a thread to insult them.

Again, you play the same game. A nerd calling others nerds, see my point?

I don't surf the web for dirty Tali/other LI pics. I read the threads for amusement value and to add my thoughts from time to time. I'm in a RL relationship yet my significant other doesn't mind that I find the ME2 relationships interesting/fun/thrilling. I don't mind that other people like to focus on it or even obsess a bit. It doesn't hurt me. It doesn't hurt you. Thus, why do you really care?

No.

I admit to being a nerd.  Have no problems with nerds.  And I am not talking about general interest in the characters obviously.  I find them interesting too.  but I am not IN love with them...

One might have to question whether you are though.

Like I said....just for the hell of it.  It's just my opinion anyways like 99% of everything written in any of these forums....but I think the obsession with the realtionships is disturbing and bizarre.....that's all.

Funny I dont recall ever even posting in any of those threads.

I just annoyed when people feel the need to put others down, based on assumptions, or their own insecurity.   I highly doubt any of the "Insert charactermancer here" are actually "in love" with with a fictional character either, they are just really into them as they pertain to the story.

Just like you feel the need to make assumptions about others life, such as having friends, girlfriends etc.   its a pointless thing to insult anyone on over the internet.

I mean for all I know you are some 500 lb fat ass living  in his parents basement friendlass, ass pounding his mail order blowup doll nightly.

Isn't the mark of a good character one you can't quite let go of? My favorite movie of all time is Jaws, my favorite character is Quint, I have been quoting his lines since I was 10 years old. Just because a character is meaningful and well written doesn't make it an obsession. I love Raphael S'Barge's (Kaiden Alenko) voice. I despised Ashley when she killed Wrex. In my opinion, emotional reactions to characters in games are the mark of good games, whether or not actual romance is involved. That being said, IT"S A GAME.

I'm in a relationship in reality...and I don't find computer generated relationships disturbing. What's the big deal? People enjoy what they enjoy.
