I just got Mass Effect : Ascension (already read Revelation) plan on getting Retribution (gotta love Drew Karpyshyn)

And I would kind of like the ME: Redemption (the comic).

I haven't read any issues yet, but am thinking of ordering them but I'm not sure.

There was a Preview in my ME2 'strat guide' but the preview was... pretty crappy to say the least. It was two baltarians bringing liara to Ilium or some other port and then they try a shake down and she Bioticlly kills them or somthing.  I wasn't impressed and that's actually the biggest reason why I never not got ME: Redemption Issue 1.

So now that it's been three Issues what does everything think of it?

Is it just about her hunting for Shepard (which turns into her hunting for the Shadow Broker for taking her friend she mentions in ME2?)

Also if you pre-order are the Comics 3-4 Dollars? or is that for a Digital Download?

I know when they are out it's like 14 Dollars.

I got the first two so far from Things From Another World for around $3 each. They're pretty decent so far. It's hard to judge them story wise though, because with just the two issues, not a whole lot has happened so far. I am really interested to see what happened to change Liara so much. Art wise, it's pretty good, though the faces don't really match the games. It's really no big deal though.

Also this guy is awesome.

3 hasn't come yet iirc, or it might have an i missed the memo which is likely

#1 is about Liara finding Shepard ( who is dead or near dead )

#2 onwards by the looks of things is about her recovering his body ( and prob handing it to Cerberus etc etc )

I like it so far since it fleshes out Liara and it helps explains her current self alot better then the 1 or 2 sentences you get in ME2

Alright I pre-ordered 3 and 4. I am going to wait to read them until I finally get around to getting 1 and 2, but I'll have to finish reading Ascension before all that.

tfaw.com has this 'Mass Effect Volume 1: Redemption TPB' Pre-Order for 14 Dollars (or roughly around there)

Is that just the regular eddition of Issue one? I'm trying to find out what the 'TPB' Stands for

(is it the ENTIRE Collection? I notice it doesn't ship until June 2010 and it's listed under the graphic novels section?)

Because if so I might as well just wait until I get that and not get the comics till then.

I've read the first two issues, and I wasn't impressed. The story is relevant and interesting, and should be read by Mass Effect fans, but the dialog is pretty weak. I mean, you get such wonderful quips such as "the stupid idiot brigade," from Miranda referring to the Blue Suns. It sounds like an insult from someone in middle school.
