But how did he kill all those darkspawn? He is even more powerful than the Warden! And what the hell was he doing in the fort anyway?
They never said he killed all those darkspawn. He simply says the same thing he always does and we assume what happened.

I guess I understand Biowares purpose of putting him in the Fort, in terms of game play. I guess they wanted to give you one last option to enchant before facing the Archdemon. But there was no real logical way to do this that made sense so they decided to have some fun with it, and thus the super ENCHANTER that can kill a room filled of Darkspawn as if he were Neo in the Matrix. Maybe that's it, I can't say I really know.
Ohhhhhhh I like that one!!! But it would have to be the spawn of Neo and Forrest Gump. As in another post I will stick to my answer of an old banished Paragon with lyrium in the blood that aids to his near immortality.

Before Bodhan ran off, he told Sandal that all those darkspawn wanted enchantments, but that the runes were in their bodies. Sandal was more than glad to help get them out

Is it lyrium that does it? Is the combination of lyrium exposure and no connection to the Fade? Can the Tranquil also become unstoppable, Darkspawn-slaying machines if trained to do so with a similar focus? Is this brutality really a result if sociopathy caused by lyrium exposure and having no dreams? If so, what could Sandal possibly need to do there at that time? I am probably looking too deeply into the connection - most likely there is none at all, but I think it's neat story material.

But who knows maybe he is the uber wunderkind of lyrium miners and refiners who didn't know that there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing".

He's lyrium addled, that's all. He's a walking "tee-hee, tards" gag. As pointed out upthread, he's there for gameplay reasons and it's just a joke. But people will speculate about *anything* as this thread is perfect evidence.
We speculate because we're bored at work... at least I am.
Thank you... Chuck Norris!
Plucking Chuck Norris!
