I've worn a Tudor-style corset (from the late 16th century). It was not uncomfortable in the least, nor was I in danger of any back problems. In fact, sometimes specific styles of corsets are used _for_ back problems. The corset and dress shifted my, um, assets up rather nicely for display. Just the right amount of display, though. Not too much to create a stir, but enough to be appreciated, especially by hubby.
Whats in your pocket.

Modern ones are made from aluminium and so on but the old ones are hammer-forged iron.

* In my best stewy voice* I did not know that, yeah well I dont really have much to say only that any man who knows a woman who will sport a corset for him should be very very thank ful.

Those harnesses in Spanish are called "guardainfantes"; that roughly means "infant keeper" and considering that infants in this case did not mean child, you can guess the rest. Ladies at that time said that it was ment to keep pregnat women to look as such but we all know the truth.

I was raised Catholic although I don't practice it.I believe in a higher power but of my choosing.Besides I'm way to naughty for the church!Statulos wrote...
Not every noblewoman wore that. Princess of Eboly never did and not even the Inquisition would dare to approach her.

I know this is an aweful thing to say, but I have always wanted to corrupt a nun. Hmmm maybe I can crave that by finding a person to dress as a Nun, something to look into.
Hey guys where can someone get a nuns outfit?
And am I going to hell for that?

Been there, done that. She was almost a nun and to my knowledge, she backed off. No uniform, though.DragonDefender wrote...
