Just purchased my own copy of the Macintosh version of Dragon Age and I have noticed that the sound is choppy - all sound will cut out for around a second at regular intervals. Anyone else had this problem?

No, cannot say I do. I really don't have any probs running my game. Have you tried to lower your settings or checked your specs again the requirements?

I lowered to settings to the bare minimum, and there is no problem. My machine has way more than whats needed to run the game. I may have to contact Bioware about this.

Now that I think of it, I DID have that problem prior to the 1.0.3 patch, (Although the sound didn't go away for a whole second, but only a fraction of it - still annoying) but never afterwards.

There was huge sound issues with DAO on Mac's with Bose speakers when it first came out. In fact this was an issue with all of Transgamings ports. I worked with Gavriel @ transgaming on the problem. He fixed it and I got to test it. He had also identified some channel issues with the sound library they use. When they came out with 1.03, the fix was incorporated. If you are experiencing issues, I would suggest contacting Transgaming directly, as it would also carry over to any of their other games for Mac. There is a way to dump what sound is doing and he may be able to help.
