Rabid Tali fans put the non rabid ones in the minority. I like Tali's character my favorite character but damn the stuff in that thread is just weird. Ug I can already imagine how much hentai pics and fanfiction there will be if they show her face now I'm against showing her face cause the fact that their is so vague details on how Quarians look like is whats keeping those artist at bay. Mostly...

So many people are attacking a straw man when it comes to Tali fans. I constantly see threads in which someone says something like "Tali's not my favourite character, I prefer Liara. *Flame suit on for the Tali nutjobs*", yet these nutjobs always fail to appear.

It's like people look at the size of the Tali thread and assume that the people who write in it are rabid. Yes, some of them seem to be a little obsessed, but it's in a harmless way. And they usually keep to that one thread. So far on this forum I've mostly seen constructive criticism and debate.

You know who those other tali fans remind me of? I don't know if any of you have little sisters/wives/mothers who got into twilight, but...



The only difference being that tali is a character that actually has depth beyond "I'm a depressed girl looking for prince charming". Honestly, my little sister's friends (THANKFULLY NOT MY LITTLE SISTER!) are into the edward/jacob of twilight, and that "seeking of fanfiction/obsessive desire for beauty/want to be with" vibe carries over nicely.

Tali is one of my favourite characters amongst others and I hope that it will be possible to continue with her as a LI in ME3. However, I'm getting a bit worried! What if bioware decide not to include her as a LI or even a squad mate in ME3 when they see that huge thread of obsessed people! They might just do it for a laugh to ****** them all off. Would probably be an interesting reaction though...

Agreed. The thread is completely out of control. Some good fan stuff was coming out of it, but other stuff was facepalm worthy.
