I'm a Tali fan, but I don't want to see her face.

I hope they do show it, and that she's hideous, then maybe her creepy and downright stalker like fan appeal might die... I can dream right? I can dream...

The amount of secrecy behind the Quarians is getting a bit ridiculous. I mean, in the first game the only Quarian we saw was Tali, so the the mystery about the Quarians made more sense. But now we have encountered several Quarians. We walked into their home. And we see a bunch of dead Quarians to. Apparently they design their suits to magically repair themselves after death, since even a Quarian who has had a YMIR mech pump dozens of bullet straight into their skull shows no signs of suit penetration.

I'm not saying we have to see Tali's face, I'd just like to get a better idea of what the Quarians look like.

Considering all the BS the errupted over the idea she might be dead can you even fathom what a cluster **** these forums would be if they showed her face?

I'm a Tali fan and was disappointed in not seeing her but I think that was the better [artistic / dramatic] way to handle things. A little mystery is just fine by me.

The whole point of the attraction is that it is perhaps not solely physical so we don't need to see what she looks like but we need to learn more about why she is the way she is. I.E. we need to see more of the character and less of the physical attributes.

Why care? The in game Shep already saw her face. The only reason to wish something like that is to be a jerk or a biatch about it for no reason than to wish the worst on others in a single player game.

You can dream, I'd aim higher

No, there is a reason, it's because I find Tali fans reeaallyy creepy.  I've never seen a character since FF VII's Aeris garner so much fan lust.  I mean 27k+ posts in the main thread..  wtf?!

She's not even that amazing of a character, she's kind of boring imo, all the "Ohh have my shep's baby!!" comments are just downright bizarre to me, so, I stand by my wish to see her face and that she's ugly.  Then we can finally see what Tali fans really like about her, if she retains the same level of groveling than I'll at least know that it's impossible to diminish the Taliholics adoration.

Tali's not Samus Aran... and Nintendo even shows her face to those who play the game long enough. She's not *supposed* to be an unknowable mystery, IMO. There are lots of characters in the ME universe old enough to have seen Quarians. That porn mag you can pick up even describes starring Quarians.

Exactly the point he made.  There is no reason other than to be vindictive and ****y towards a whole bunch of people for a petty annoyance.  What they do doesn't affect you, and you don't have to go in any Tali-related threads.

While I agree that there are a lot of overboard fans, there are also plenty of people who just genuinely like the character, and don't spend all day writing fanfics about her.  And those that do.. so what?  Let them be creepy and obsessive, what the hell does it matter?  At least they aren't going out of their way to be an ass to people.

oh the mystery of it all. lol. come on! it's just plain dumb that people don't know what quarians look like. particularly when you consider the fact that they "created" the geth prior to their whole "suit life".

they had technology to create artificial intelligence but not photography? right. and yet NPCs are all "i wonder what they look like under there". enough with the insanity. lets have a look see.

I can understand BW not showing Tali's face since they might be concerned that many people have already projected their own ideal of a 'geeky alien girl' on to her, so would inevitably be disappointed.

Possible that not seeing her face does focus more attention on her personality, voice, cute mannerisms etc (and er, hourglass figure). Plus her headgear does add a certain exotic appeal of its own - like a hijab can do on some women (though of course this does not necessarily completely hide the face).

If they do show her face in ME3 and she's a hideously deformed wobbling swampdonkey, then I'm:

1. Gonna laugh 'til I splort at the impending forum nerdrage.
2. Gonna be pissed, 'cos I love Liz Sroka's VA work and always found Tali kinda cute.

Thing is; if they show her face and she's gorgeous, won't everyone just see that as a cop-out?

And if they don't show her face, won't everyone just see that as a cop-out too?

Much as I hate to say it, I think the swampdonkey route is the only reasonable option. :(

The thing is, if they make her conventionally beautiful, some people might find this disappointing too (at odds with her cute awkwardness etc).

Personally don't think that 'alien chicks' need to have pretty faces at all to be appealing . Consider Neytiri in the film 'Avatar' - not exactly a looker by human standards, but you end up understanding how a human could fall for her.

Another thing about not showing Tali's face is that it makes her one of the few characters that completely avoids the 'uncanny valley' problem (personally find that this really detracts from Miranda and Ashley, though giving Miranda the jawline of a prizefighter certainly doesn't help either).

Thinking Liz Sroka will be Tali's face or very similar to it in ME3.

Tho it would be fun if they spoof everyone and make them all look like bald grey aliens.

I suspect Shepard would have made a different face then after Tali revealed herself to him...

I have no master chief syndrome. Her hidden face does not make her more mysterious or anything to me. I do not care if she is pretty or ugly, to certain point that is, but honestly there is nothing THAT special about Quarians so why keep their faces hidden for eternity? It was a very good joke from Bioware's part that they kept Tali's face hidden in ME2, I applauded them for that, but honestly they try pull that again in ME3 it will only annoy me. I love Tali's character, but I have no fantasies about what she might or might not look like, and then get dissapointed if she doesnt fit in my "dreamgirl" fantasy.
