There are about 6 known import glitches.

Wait until their first big patch/update. If nothing's fixed by then, THEN have a hissy-fit. :)

Why do people always go on about hissy-fits with this? I'm not having a hissy-fit or blowing up over the glitch.

I just want a dev to come on and say, "yes, this IS a glitch, and we know about it." How hard would that be?

Pretty hard if no one really cares but the same 5 Conrad sympothizers bumping threads because they think their issue deserves more attention than anyone else's....

Why do people keep posting this like it's an answer to something? It's just one possible outcome of the Conrad quest.

Not to mention he dies in one of the ME1 news stories after picking on Turians...

I wasn't saying you had a hissy fit. I'm saying I intend to have a hissy fit if they don't fix it in the first big patch. :-P

Of course it's a glitch. If you look the file with the save editor of Gibbed you'll see that both options (Conrad charmed and Conrad intimidated) are checked... wich is what causes the problem.

Anyway ,i can't see how they can fixed it because the problem is already in the save file so a patch couldn't choose what option is the one to keep.

OK, over on this thread, another forumite said you can poke into the game files (PC version obviously) and find that for Paragons, Conrad should send you a letter thanking you, won't show up on Ilium, and you'll automatically hear the whole news announcement about him creating the "Shepards" charity. Can't verify it myself, as I've got the 360 version, but it sounds pretty plausible to me.  If that is indeed the case, I have to say I kinda prefer it glitched.  Running into him all decked out in fake armor and trying to shake down bartenders is just too damn amusing.  And just for the hell of it, here's my suggestion from over there about what the Paragon path should have gotten you:

didymos1120 wrote...

They missed a golden comedy opportunity there. If you went Paragon with him, you should run into him and be able to ask what the hell he's doing, and didn't he go home to his wife, etc., at which point he'd get all misty eyed for a moment before saying something like "I did! She wasn't there! I waited a
whole week and she never came back! She took the dog too! And then you died, Shepard! You died! And that's when I knew: it was time to start getting EXTREME! A hard universe needs hard men! (mumbling) I really
loved that dog.... (wipes away a single tear)"

Yeah, doing that would end up making the Paragon choice pointless, but the guy's a gag character anyway so reducing the difference to getting a somewhat different gag when you run into him seems acceptable to me.  And of course, you could still get the good/bad news outcomes in this game.  Personally, I think that even if you go Paragon with him in ME2, he should just show up doing something absurd in ME3 anyway, with an equally absurd reason for why he failed to take your advice yet again.

Are you sure it's in the special ME1 save file you import from?  'Cause if the error occurs during import, then yeah: they can patch it.  Almost certainly you'd have to start a new career to get the benefits of it, but that's still a fix.

Release a fixer that makes it so you can get paragon Conrad if you want, don't want paragon Conrad, don't download the fix.

I was nothing but nice to Conrad in ME1 and he said I shoved a gun in his face. And honestly, WHY SHOULD I CARE? I still get to do his little sidequest and it was still fun. If Conrad had acted realistically to you saying "the only thing that keeps me fighting the geth is knowing that there are people like you taking care of humanity...so go home". That's what would happen, right? He'd go home, and not be in ME2?

He must be glitched. I let him take my pic in the first game and he didn't even show up in Illium! :*(

You're supposed to finish his quest. After taking the picture, he asks you if you can get him into the Spectres, then you tell him to go home. End mission.

don't bump- the mods like to lock heavily-bumped threads.

In regards to Conrad: he WILL return in ME3, no matter what you do. accept it. he will be somehow connected to the main plot, too.

Ok really I get it that you care about this but bumping your thread is exceptionally rude to the rest of the community and also ensures that no one from Bioware will ever answer you. Don't literally just "bump" your threads because you think they are more important than everyone else's. Seriously it's rude as ****. It's universally frowned upon as bad forum manners and will result in the opposite of what you are trying to achieve here. Garunteed.
