 I wonder if it really is coming to the PS3. I will be playing it on the PC anyways and I don't own a 360 or PS3 (Though I used to own a 360).

That's kind of a dumb move.  Take Saints Row 2 for example. I love the game but I had no clue who the characters were and what the story was goin in cause the first Saints Row was only for Xbox 360. (SR2 is avalible for Xbox 360 AND PS3.)

If they release ME2 on PS3, I would think they would release ME1 as well. However, that is just me guessing.

Hi folks



There is a report circulating today based on an appearance I made in Poland yesterday. Seems there was a misunderstanding about ME2 coming to PS3.



Let me clarify today: ME2 is coming to PC and X360 only. Look for them both on Jan 26 in NA and Jan 29 in Europe.

But why is it only coming out for PC and 360? What is preventing EA from taking my money? I know it's just a rumor but if there was a reasonable explanation then most people would let it die.

Even if ME2 does release on PS3, I don't think it's likely that ME1 will release on PS3. It will be a lot of extra work porting a game onto PS3 which was originally made for Xbox and PC.

Because Microsoft paid them to? I don't know if you consider that to be acceptable, but I can almost guarandamntee that's the reason.

Mass Effect 2 is for XBox and PC only, sorry.

Why don't Bioware release PS3 Edition of Mass Effect? Even Mass Effect came out for Iphone. Me & my PS3 is still waiting for Mass Effect.

Dragon Age PS3 score is 9, Xbox score is 8.5 & UC 2 is better than all Xbox 360 games. I don't wanna platform war, I just wonder why ME series come out for PS3. Is there an exclusivity dealing between Microsoft & Bioware. If there is a dealing why Mass Effect came out for Iphone???

There probably was a pinky swear at the EA, Microsoft and Bioware studios to not release the game for the PS3...

Nobody is certain why it isn't out on that platform, the best guess is that Microsoft don't want to lose the exclusive deal.

And Mass Effect: Galaxy is a different game. MS might have the "exclusivity" deal for the initial ME trilogy, but everything else could be fair play - hence why ME: Galaxy is on iOS.

But then that begs the question of why they're not on the Games for Windows (Live) platform.

My guess is that EA and MS together mean trouble. But I am paranoid. My brother would pay ALOT to see ME series on the PS3 (he might as well be a bigger fan than I am, and his PC isn't good enough to handle the second). Of course, I asked if he wished to play it on MY PC, since I have it installed, but he said no. He's a strange guy

PS3 techno, Differen't Busomjack has point just not clarfied. It sucks programming wise. I bet bioware had a hell of a time programming DA for PS3. PS3 version of DA has more Glitches than Xbox and that is true. As for why ME is not on PS3 because yes Xbox got the rights to ME universe sense it was one of its first major titles. They are under contract like Halo was. Its in a couple of interviews I read years back. Go look up the old ME 1 archive interviews if you don't believe the Tooneyman. Its all at Ign.com. They have them all. Its an Xbox and PC exclusive now let it go.

Yeah that is basically what I meant. That combined with the original title not even being released leaves little reason for a PS3 release considering how referential Mass Effect 2 is.
