this is when I wish I was half decent with PC script changing, and most of all had the PC version.

http://www.onelastco...appears-online/

but now there is atleast a face to the voice...

and apparently she will be do-able for the tubes too.

That's clearly a placeholder outfit. The face is almost definately a placeholder as well. It's interesting that some of her dialogue is actually already in the game. I would have expected only Shepard's dialogue to be recorded in that scene.

Yeah I think that is Kasumi's dialog but not her character. I mean she isn't even wearing the same outfit, its close without the hood but I would imagine she would put that up for Combat.

Look at the other characters in your crew. I really doubt Bioware is gonna toss random NPC clothes onto a random NPC face with random NPC hair like that. The voice work was recorded and left in the game files, that way the only thing Bioware had to do was finish up the visual design aspect of it. The model has to be a placeholder, or was randomly added.

the costume looked anything but NPCish to my eyes..to be honest, more so with that little lip at the back of her neck.

the costume is what has me thinking she's " partly" there at least. The suit we've seen has been concept art, that being I can see them drop it on the actual character. The suit at its core looks near dead on, more so the details around the shoulders and neck. and the suit is at a much higher quality than the face...which that I am assuming very well may be a place holder ( perhaps if she does have a hood, it may be actually attached to the head geometry rather than the body.

* I also want to add that it is possible Im just seeing it at poorer quality.

I hope that's not how Kasumi really looks like. I thought she would be an exotic thief and I love that hood in her art. Her face also looks pretty dull and boring.

It very well may be a placeholder, the animation paths, and all the dialogs are there, so atleast it's something.

what I like is that she's obviously a third tech option too " she's a thief, that would make sense"
so that would pretty much open up team choices more too.

Looks like a femshep. Mabye the person just tweaked in a normanl npc so the voice/party acting would work.

Either way its quite interesting. Wonder if it really is a DLC character or one that just got booted.

I know it's been floating about too, but just incase here are some " point of interest" clips from her too.

It's just gotten to the point that I'd love to hear a. " yes, that's here, but we are still working on her, we'll let you know more later"   or even a  " yes that was her, though we decided to cut her, and thats residual files left over."

and if the later is the case, it would be nice to " re introduce her"

I'd hate to think that cutting her out would have been a good idea at the time, she seems more useful than Zaeed, if her power tree is to be believed she actually offered more diversity to the team.

What? I thought it was stated that Kasumi is upcoming DLC? Is this even a point of contention?

there have been a few people making the " suggestion" that she was cut... I personally don't buy that, and am going by comments made off handed during a web event that she was DLC, and that is still to my knowledge the more likely. I'm just covering my bases.

Well, they've clearly got Shepard's lines recorded for her, so even if she were cut content, they could easily release her as DLC anyway. The conspicuous gap on the right of the squad menu tells me that she's coming. Without her, Zaeed just throws everthing off.

Zaeed, the Hammerhead and Kasumi were clearly cut so they could be sold as DLC

true, makes me wonder though why Zaeed was handled the way he was in contrast with the others, and is Kasumi being done the same way ( And she better not be) * shakes fist skyward*

Once Kasumi is released, maybe she will be available to recruit on future plays. Great idea for giving folks another reason to play the game from the top again.

Well firstly, I kinda wish she was alien, I mean, all it would take is to add a few horns and ears, maybe change the skin colour and eyes... but I guess we're getting yet another human.

A shame since we need more female aliens and a batarian squadmate. :(

She'll probably have the same conversation style, or lack there of, as Zaeed, which means I may skip her...

Her voice sounds nice though. :) I really hope that's a placeholder costume + face.

I guess we now know who is getting the other observation Lounge on deck 3.

Yeah, the character in the game itself is place holder. I think even the image in the select screen is a place holder. Probably an accurate one, like concept art, but not the official image we will get.

That is how you are sure that character is a place holder character. It did not look at all like the art bit.

Also I reconise it, it is those recycled body types, hairs, and faces they use for their NPCs. Squadmates tend to use original armours, faces, and even hair styles.

What Bioware has to say about this?

Is this really a cut content or upcoming DLC?

I don't think it was Bioware trying to make us pay for DLC. Maybe they cut the Hammerhead, Zaeed, and Kasumi for the Cereberus network. The network seems more like an anti-piracy measure. IMHO.

Actually it's also designed to bone gamestop etc.
EA are doing with most of their new games now.
Day 1 DLC that's free for people who bought the game new but costs 10 dollah for secondhand game buyers/pirates.

If that were true, why are Kasumi and the Hammerhead not available yet?

If they got cut for any reason, it's because they weren't ready in time to keep the whole project on schedule.

Realistically, I think they never got cut. They were intended to be DLC all along. All we see here is placeholder material that gives the cinematographers hooks to implement the characters later. That someone can hack the .ini files and enable some of them doesn't mean EA is out to screw you without a reacharound by forcing Bioware to take content away from the game for repackaging.

If anything, the reason the first game had such slim post-release support is because it didn't have the framework for expansion in place when it hit retail.
