I think they were purely referring to how gamestop have 2nd hand copies people can get. Those copies won't be able to get the free stuff for free.

Yes, Ulrich. I mentioned that. My question was if they were trying to "bone" GameStop, why did they give them exclusive preorder bonuses? Everyone seems to be giving GameStop preferential treatment. It's like game companies feel like they need to keep them happy because they're the largest US game retailer. But at the same time, you've got people in those companies saying how used game sales are hurting the industry.

According to One Last Continue who says it is according to the poster of the suicide mission video of Kasumi: She cannot be added to the party (prior to the suicide mission). If you attempt to do so, the game will remove her with a warning message but will still allow you to continue.

So does she just randomly pop up just before you go through the Omega 4 Relay and say "Hey let me join you on this suicide mission even though you have no reason to trust me at all."

if you currently add her to the party selection screen, select her and try and do a mission it pops up an error saying you don't have the DLC, I'm guessing it's ok to animate her in the last mission using a dummy model

That's not Kasumi. That's the head of security from Noveria (ME1) being used as a placeholder. Also, note Shep's hair.

Pay specific attention to the dialogue, that's what we're discussing here.  Not the placeholder character model.

It looks legit with the possible modeling exceptions....I definitley think she'll have a hood ala Tali.

Yeah, the voice acting was probably done first. Or specifically with the others. They had to have Hale and what's his name for male Shep have his personal dialogues with them, and if any Squadie who has lines involving her, to also record yours. You do not want go fishing your VA 3 months later for a few days worth of recordings. So she is probably voiced for the most part. So it is all content, graphics and stuff.

What I did notice in the trailer, she can do the job of the Tech Specialist and survive. That on itself says a bit about her character. Also her bio does too. I guess Legion and Tali have competition.

But what is she, some sort of Tech-asassin? Sort of Thane's oppisite, being a Biotic-assasin?

Also, I found her voice okay. From what I saw. Nothing to write home about but I don't want to earplug myself either. I guess her performance during the recruit mission and loyalty mission will show that. Which makes me wonder, will she have a recruit mission or go the way of Zaeed?

No idea yet on the recruit mission.

I think she is a master thief though.  So less assassin, more breaking and entering and stealing.

PC users can mod  hairstyles to ones you can't normally select, like the one in this video :)

I find it odd that she can do the tech specialist mission. Zaeed seemed unable to do anything but screw up.

I just hope shes useful enough to be a suitable replacement for Miranda

Unlikely, but I can hope

You realize the head of security from Noveria was Japanese and Kasumi is a Japanese word?

I had always assumed we would run into Maeko Matsuo again!!!

If you mean combat wise, doubtful, Miranda having Overload and Warp and her group buffs really makes her one of the superior squad mates.  I don't think they will give her that power set, if you mean as a character no idea though doubtful she will be a leader.

She is probably just a techie.

Kasumi is actually a place holder for Liara... true story.

I don't think so. Liara wouldn't steal a coockie from her mother and Kasumi steals stuff that belongs to Serberus, like DNA samples. And she steals them when the are in vaults.

Seemingly this video does seem to prove that she is going to be DLC in the future. And since it appears she can perform roles in the suicide mission, probably with failing parts as well, it looks like almost a guarantee that we will have a loyalty mission for her.

Zaeed was good for something, he is a Defender. Basically everyone that did not join you for the last boss and did not go back to the ship with the crew stays behind to hold the line. You don't select anyone for it, becuase the game like autoselects everyone not going with you or missing! But yes a team is made of remainding memebers that hold the line. Zaeed is like supergood at that and more so if loyal. If you leave him behind with Garrus and Grunt, all loyal. You might find even squishy Mordin will survive that fight.

A lot of people think only the specialist and fire team leaders mattered. No, you actually have a Hold the Line mechanic going too.

Yeah, but I am not suprised; they were forcing the game to let you use a none active content that uses placeholders. Heck I would suspect some hoax except for the fact I be darn impressed if someone modded in new dialogue during cinematic events and had Hale voice extra lines for them. I think they just wanted to prove Kasumi was not a hoax or a myth, since BW would do so much groundwork for a joke.

That is quite true about the hold the line mechanic. I always wondered why my loyal Mordin died during that scene. Now I realize it was because I sent Zaeed back with the crew and then I brought Grunt and Garrus with me at the end.
