Zaeed, the Hammerhead and Kasumi were clearly cut so they could be sold as DLC

I don't think so. Zaeed at least I think was DLC because they only got a few Shep lines recorded for him.

Hey all,

I was the original uploader of this clip. I must be psychic, for sure, because I knew when I departed for work this morning that I would arrive home with a YouTube takedown notice; and lo and behold I did. I'm unsure why BioWare/Electronic Arts they took the time to disable my video, considering that it is nothing more than three minutes of gameplay footage achieved by changing a few simple values in a plain-text configuration file.

This is most confusing considering that there are many other Kasumi clips available on YouTube at any given time (granted, mine was the most sophisticated, with perfect and hilariously placed jump-cuts). Even more strange is the countless hours of cutscenes that are available on this particular video-sharing website. That's, like, the entire plot right there. But no, they're not the ones with "Copyrighted material from Electronic Arts."

My intentions weren't to "ruin" or "spoil" the story in anyway. If it were my computer game, I would be flattered if my users crawled every inch of the software, sharing every little finding. But that's me. I do, however, definitely see the direction in which BioWare is coming from with this issue: don't exploit loopholes and publicly display placeholder/unfinished/unfinalized content.

I wasn't aiming for 4,500 views in eight hours. I simply uploaded the video for a little visual proof to backup the article about Kasumi on the Mass Effect wiki. Now my inbox is being flooded by video gaming "news" sites requesting copies and mirrors of the said clip. I won't go into detail about the video's contents here, but running a quick Google (or Bing if you're not feeling evil) search can likely lead you to what you are looking for.

I could rant all day and night. But I won't. That's how flame wars, trolling, and spamming happens. I did enjoy the entertainment though. I'll just sit here tight about wait XX days for out next downloadable character (Kasumi or not)!

This is not an exit.

P.S. - Oh please, grand moderators of this web forum -- do not forsaken thou and nuke my account. I enjoy reading this forum way too much! :police:

So Kasumi can deal with alien door locks as good as a tech prodigy and a walking mass of computer programs, but Zaeed the ancient war/merc vet can't be trusted to keep a squad together better then a grunt, a ditz, and a vigilante?

Zaeed is a selfish loner. If you listen to his stroies, one thing they all have in common is that he's basically the only survivor every damn time. That's not someone you want to put in command. Experience or no.

Updated the first page with a working link.

she makes sense in the shaft...one would think a renowned thief would be able to get through security with no problem.

the character is just a random placeholder, if not ill be pretty disappointed, although many think she isn't done yet, from the look of the video bioware probably made her already and several other dlc components to be released at a later date

Interesting. I wonder when she'll be made available.

On a totally unrelated note, this is one butch looking Shepard. . . lol

no, it's pretty well established I think that the model is a stand in, the triggers, animation, and dialog is in place though already, which is interesting. I'm really more thrilled to see she can be used for the Tech slot.

Im hoping they are taking their time uploading her as they are building onto her a little more following the complaints over how Zaeed was handled.

What's wrong with my ears. Everyone sounds like they are slurring when they speak. Dipping into Chawkwa's reserves no doubt.

Ditto! I've been waiting forever for a character to say "Shep"...hearing "Shepard" this and "Commander" that gets so stale after a while. My Shepard's a friendly chick, she doesn't care about titles dangit!

Dude, that's the coolest looking femShepard I've seen to date. Love the hair especially.

Anyways, I knew we were going to see Kasumi down the road (I have friends who dl'ed all the extra stuff for the PC version the week before launch, haven't played it, but I know what is coming up). So I shall wait patiently for her to come out, wonder how good she is in combat.

Great job putting up the new link! I personally hope that if your Shepard is a man she'll call you "Shep-dawg."

Kasumi looks like a mystic warrior. /yawn

All she needs to be is a sorrowful mystic warrior, that would be awesome. /gag

Sorry, I'll stop harping like a whiny little ****.

DLC is already pretty much done when the game ships, DLC is a way to combat the used game market so releasing bits over time is a very smart way to convince people to buy the game new and leave a positive feeling with all of your customers. The alternative is to do what UBIsoft has done and create a massive controversy and a bonanza of ill-will from the gaming community at large. I applaud EA for enticing PC gamers to buy a game new off the shelf by offering something, instead of threatening to take something away (the game itself).

I am sort of glad though that her " story" is not there yet " that we know of" so there is some interest in that aspect of her. I don't have a PC version, so I can pick her files apart and guess how much of her content is already there, though I personally think most would be save for perhaps the model itself, and a few wake up commands for the trigger points.

Well, I'm just glad that it seems like she'll be here eventually. I don't want to know anymore about her backstory at this point... I spoiled a lot of ME2 for myself by coming to these boards, at least maybe she will give me a bit of a surprise.
