So my idea is to add two additional hotkeys to the left and right thumbsticks. This would allow you to add either two more of your own powers or two more of your squadmates powers.
This would greatly increase the pace and excitement of playing on the 360. Now although these buttons already have the directional help indicator assigned to them, I never actually used it once throughout the whole game, but for the people who do need it, they can still have it if they don't assign a power to that button.
Post a reply if you want this system implemented, or if you see any problems with a system like this. Thanks
Any chance of additional hotkeys being added to the xbox 360 version?

That would be a nice idea. They could be a directional finder out of combat and mapped to powers in combat.
Not sure if they can change anything at this point though.

Yeah I'm hoping for some kind of response on the difficulty of implementing this, but if its possible it would really improve the combat. Watching all the real time insanity gameplays on pc really makes you want to do the same thing on 360.

agreed. If I had the money I would buy a worthy computer and get it on PC for how much better the combat flows

They're not keys. Don't call them hotkeys.
Anyway, I want something like this.
Left Thumbstick: Move - Click: Sprint
Right Thumbstick: Look - Click: Melee
Left Trigger: Aim
Right Trigger: Fire Weapon
Left Bumper: Tap: Use Mapped Power #1. - Hold: Weapon Radial Menu
Right Bumper: Tap: Use Mapped Power #2 - Hold: Power Radial Menu
A Button = Take Cover, Interact
B Button= Use Mapped Power #3
X Button = Tap: Reload - Hold: Quick Change Weapon
Y Button = Use Mapped Power #4
Back button = Draw Weapon, Holster Weapon
Start button = Mission Computer Menu

The problem with that system is that you would only have one additional hotkey, also unless your playing a vanguard its unlikely that putting sprint and melee on the thumbstick would be much of a benefit, whereas being able to use two more powers from the sticks makes it much faster to use and would see more frequent use.

Powers assigned to sticks would be good, and they could probably do something with the d-pad as well. D-pad would be great for different ammo types.

Any chance of a developer reply, if this is too difficult to implement let us know. But if it is possible then this would be a great edition to the xbox 360 version.

that would be a life saver!

It would be good if I could map any power to d-pad left and right (including my own).

I had to buy the PC version for that reason. So now I have to choose between a tactical experience with difficult controls or a dumbed-down but easier experience when I play

this would be a great addition. how does something like this happen? it needs to change, especially in an ability casting shooter. i never use melee and id love that to be another ability instead. another thing is clicking the left analogue stick should make you croutch. but really all buttons should be able to be replaced. if i want to hotkey throw to the right analogue stick, then allow me to use throw with the right analogue stick. shouldnt something like this be mandatory in video games?

I would really like this, but it would be hard considering almost every other button is used for something. And I keep the left and right directional buttons open for squadmate position, so I don't ever want to "hotkey" them.

That is actually a very good idea, apart from tthe fact that they both show objective markers. If only one of them showed objective markers then I suppose the other one could be used.

I havew the qwerty keypad attached to my controller.....it'd be awesome if I could map those buttons. Every power could be mapped. Just having the option to do it if you had the messager would be great. (And probably sell a lot of messager keypads too!)

I just want to know why we can't map any power other than your class's unique power to the Y button; I'd be happy enough if this were rectified.
